This customer thought he blew out his rear main seal, but it was actually his oil cooler adapter gasket. Its an easy fix using Dorman Part #82560. Order it here! amzn.to/2HWFEY3

I gotta get back under there to check it out again but I don't remember seeing it dripping off of the oil filter. Was the one you fixed dripping right out of the bottom of the bell housing and inspection plate area? I did a direct hayseed fix on mine. I thought it was the rear main seal so I bungeed an 8"x10" aluminum pan under there to catch the drips. I am going to put a petcock on it so I can drain it once or twice a year at oil change time. I call it a clever labor saving solution! I DO NOT CHERISH PULLING THE DRIVE TRAIN TO GET AT THAT REAL MAIN SEAL! Thanks for this video.

I don't cherish the thought of pulling the drive train to change a main seal, THAT IS FOR CERTAIN! 😅

When I turn on my 89 Chevy Silverado it starts pissing out oil I wonder if it’s a nut that came off because I see a hole or if it’s your situation

I did it was the gasket but now I have another issue lol I helped this lady with a jump and I’m pretty sure I put the cables on correctly long story short her car never turned on didn’t even have power to crank I gave her a ride back to work as I was leaving my truck smelled a bit like burned and started running weak and shaky

Did that paper gasket pop right out?
@JBAutomotive79410 ай бұрын
The large O ring is usually the culprit.
