Tricky conditions with the damp and the leaves. I just put my own 99 1200 through the annual test here in UK, put the standard can on just in case I had a fussy examiner. I must say I quite like the sound of it not having had it on for a year or so, perhaps I'm just getting old, anyway going to leave it on for now.

Hey, I like a quiet ride too. I can hop on the Himalayan for that. 🙂 What color is your '99? Any other customizations?

@@KARMAkazeMoto Mine is black with the blue metalic flek through it, all standard as far as performance mods as the Remus end can is now on the bench, I had it on a dyno with the can and it was 115, Suzuki spec was 99, so the Remus and keeping it set up good carbs balanced etc is worth it. The standard can sure does run hot, I notice that so it restricts it alot. You commented on a start up of it on my channel a while back.

I'd like to get mine on a dyno to see how good my tuning is. Everything was done by sight, sound and feel.

@@KARMAkazeMoto I was not really up for the dyno run, it ran good enough for me, but a few mates encouraged me to stick it on at the charity event, you payed £20 for a run. and it was worked out on BHP per cc. I was beating Fireblades and R1 etc HaHa. Valve clearances set to almost min spec and checked regularly, carbs balanced is the secret I think, and a good chain.

I still can't get over how beautiful the fall colors are there! My wife and I were there the 2nd week of September. We caught the very peak of fall colors in Denali and then headed down into Anchorage on the train which was just a mind-blowing experience! We want to come back and experience some more. Hope you get Spring weather soon! Cheers!
@KARMAkazeMoto Жыл бұрын
Denali is great because you can catch red colors from some of the brush on mountain sides and lowlands. All the trees you might have noticed are yellow/gold, which is great, but I do miss reds, purples, fiery orange and pinks you might see in say Northern Michigan or other deciduous forests that have a greater mixture of tree species. I'm looking forward to spring! Still have a foot or two of snow on the ground everywhere.

I noticed that your turn signals flash rapidly, I just bought a Bandit that someone installed LED turn signals and they did the same. I bought a LED flasher relay from Ebay, plugged it in, and now they flash normal. I just wanted to bring this up because here in PA, the police will pull you over with turn signals that flash too quick, thinking that you have a bulb out. Mine is a 2000 model and took a 2-pin flasher and it cost around $10.00. The flasher is on the left side of the bike, under the rear fairing by the seat.

Probably going to be selling the truck soon. I love it, but don't need an F350 with a 7.5L/460 engine anymore. Come pick it up! 🙂

Got some big wide open roads there mate . Can tell they might be a little dodgy in Autumn(fall ) and winter but bet they're glorious in spring and summer . I've got a 600 Bandit MK1. ..had exactly the same problem as you , hydraulic lock and dodgy right side carb . If I don't run my bike regularly the carb problem gets worse .The more I use my bike the less problems I have it seems . After Christmas I'm thinking of fitting a dynojet kit ,which hopefully together with a clean and rebuild will be better . Great video mate .

RE is about to launch Himalayan 452 on 7 November 2023. What's your opinion about its performance.
@jan-hendrikmaibaum88142 жыл бұрын
Recommend the mixture screws 2 full twists out. Throw away the kn filter and get the original. Put a ignition advancer in and it’s a wrap. Do you have a dynojet kit? Because the stage kit from them runs not that great on it. On other bikes yes. Here nope. Please buy a full brake line kit. It’s not making a difference if you have it on top but the lower ones are the old crab. Get some nice sinter braking pads and it is much better 😊

Nice video mate and the bike sounds sweet, Cannot believe how cheap your fuel is out there! $16 to fill it up. I have a GSX 1400 and just filled it up and cost £24 which I think is approx $30 ish
@leeengelsman1855 Жыл бұрын
I think it's more likely too rich because your float bowl is leaking could be time cleanout the needle and seat and inspect the needles for wear and readjust float height .

I also wanted to know they seem to fit the bike great lol I just bought one and the bars are a little low and narrow for me

Bummer. Yeah, I'm a smaller rider, so I could see how they're better for me versus someone else.

Oh wait, I see I missed the question earlier. My bars are the only renthal road low.
