He obviously wasn't 100% blind, he would certainly be dead if so. The 10% of eye sight he did have will have kept him alive, he could likely see the blur of cars and movement.

With him chasing cars & trucks, he was most likely abandoned & left to fend for himself. I hope they find him the perfect home with all the love, kisses, belly rubs & hugs he deserves. Being injured & on the street had to be very frightening & upsetting for him. It's amazing that he lived through the coyotes & other things that could harm him. I thank all the people that left him food & water & never gave up on him. You guys helping him is why he survived & are heros in my eyes. 💕

I think they should have created the bond the first time and then get people involved that are able to catch dogs. It includes several people, holding up gates to restrict their way out, and the snares. It was tricky in the orchard. No wall to back him into. And then if wonder if they could have given him a sedative into the food something to slow him down ? On 3 legs he wasn't too fast to begin with.

It happens all over the world. Here in the UK, we are taking about 20 dogs a week from Romania where the government were forced into a policy of culling hundreds of street dogs. Fortunately, they did not want to destroy them and they are offering both help and money to the charities who are rescuing them instead. The whole situation is somewhat strange, since some of the dogs are semi owned, going to the same houses for food and water. Being approachable makes the whole situation much easier and the dogs coming to the UK only take a few weeks to adjust and settle into their new home. They soon accept their captivity (not being able to roam the streets) is a small price to pay for a secure home, food and people who genuinely care for them. Perhaps the strangest thing is that their packs who roam the streets often include a few cats. It was great for us, since the dog that we adopted was eating, sleeping and playing with our cat within a few days.
