99-04 Grand Cherokee A/C only blows from defrost

Had little to go on with my wife’s 2003 Grand Cherokee

I really liked you mentioning Cruise Control Not working will isolate this Vent door problem to the engine compartment Vaccum. Thank You. I have the same exact problem of AC coming through the defroster only. I'll give you a follow up as soon as I find out what it is.

I 2nd the comment about thanks for mentioning the cruise. I bought an 03 WJ tonight and driving it home it took me a few tries to get cruise control to activate. Shortly after I realized when my AC is set to recirculate, it only comes out of defrost. When I changed the vent mode to face, my cruise control automatically disengaged and no longer works. What is weird is setting the AC to face vents works, but turning it to recirc routes it back up to defrost. So definitely going to hunt down the leak tomorrow (or try to anyway)

another place the vacuum leak likes to hide is the canister under the battery tray, on mine the line was lulled too tight where it connected to the canister and I had to splice in about 6 inches of tubing so it wasn't pulled so tightly. Once I cut off the torn end and spliced the 6 inches of new tubing on the problem was solved

@@andrewortiz3403 My seat heat panel has its 2 top tabs also broken off but they're stuck in the female parts. Looks like JB Weld might work.

Which ones. Most of them you can find at most auto part stores in the back. You just gotta bring the old one to match up

Another reason to buy a vehicle that's as unmolested as possible. Bubbas will FUp these complicated newer cars up when they figure they're smarter than professional engineers who designed them. They'll wreck stuff putting in a "system" with 84" subs and 💩 that looks like 💩, functions like 💩, and decreases the value of the car.

Check the vacuum line that runs from the ac , it's basically the issue on Jeeps
