I can not thank you enough for your videos on the F250. I am in a spot right now that I cannot afford a mechanic. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Great video, I just made a long comment and I don't see it. Anyway here is another one, I just tried your hit the door trick and the window went right up. You have bought me some time, plus I am now a new subscriber. Thank you for the video.

Before buying a new motor assmbly, take the old one apart. They are super simple. Spray it down with contact cleaner, clean the rotor and brushes with steel wool and hit it liberally with spray lube. Unless pieces are broken, they nearly always spring back to life.

You are lucky. My motor and regulator assembly required drilling out six case hardened rivets, which took four hours even using tungsten drills. This was on my 2010 Ford E350 Super Duty. I would have just changed out the motor, but there was no access.

Is the installation process the same on all 4 windows? I noticed that the part numbers on Rock Auto are all different from window to window
@gettothepoint45623 жыл бұрын
The process is similar, but not identical. I haven’t done the rear doors yet, but if you were able to follow along with the front motor video, you should be able to do the rear.

They are all easy to do. But they are position specific if you are buying new ones. Drivers side and rear passenger are the same. Front passenger and rear drivers are the same. It is simply the orientation of the gear attached to the motor. The motors are all the same. My driver's window motor quit on my Excursion. I simply swapped it to the passenger rear temporarily. I wrote the date of the swap on the bad motor. I just replaced it ithe other day. That temporary swap was in July 2012. I guess I don't get out much.

Great video, had back surgery 5 weeks ago and having knee surgery tomorrow. Thought I would take my F350 7.3 diesel 4x4 crewcab in to get a wash, well wouldn't you know it the window would not go back up. Came home and called a shop, they wanted $250.00 to replace the motor. I found the motor for $51.00, I found your video, I thought this isn't that difficult to do. First I tried your trick, I held the button on the go up position and with my left hand hit the door a couple of times and it went right up. I worked it up and down a few times, but I didn't take it all the way down. So far so good, your trick bought me some time. Greatly appreciated!, you now have a new subscriber.
