Thanks for the video. I saw this shotgun for 115 and I immediately thought " I wonder if anyone has cut this down to make it compact". I had initially envisioned cutting the should stock down and dropping the barrel down to something along the lines of the shockwave/tac14, but even at 19 that is really tight and compact!
@Mywoodlandgear7 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is, there's a few other videos of people who have done, but none showing how it was done. We wanted to make sure anyone could do it. It's also pretty lightweight, in the backpack as well.

@chris p cutting the barrel that short would be illegal. 18inch is the shortest you can go without registering as SBR

Looks like you had fun customizing this shotgun. I think I will do something similar to mine. Chazel on ebay has some great 5 inch rifled adapters in 9mm, .38 special along with others. You could create a very fun package with a few of those, too.

I have a couple of these. Did them nearly identical. Also added sling studs and swivels to the stock and handguard. Using green Romanian nylon AK slings. Great SHTF shotguns.

I like your concept, great idea. I'd cut the pistol grip completely flat and give it straight English stock grip. Its really compact now I love it
@Benjyman312 жыл бұрын
I might try this but i might try to leave a little extra on the barrel and make it so the barrel is an even lenght to the end of the stock when folded. I love the wood finish, so i might try to color match it with stain to preserve that look. And then paint trigger guard back to black. This was a really nice tutorial

Question. Can you take calipers and measure the inner and outer diameter of the barrel after you cut it? What I'm interested in doing is threading it for a barrel extension choke, and just storing the barrel extension choke in the butt stock. Can you give me those dimensions?
@GLOCKCALSW7 жыл бұрын
Nice build man, I really like it. I dont know if you can still get them but one of the old adjustable screw chokes would let you dial the shot pattern back down. Dial a choke I believe is the name of it. Keep making stuff you really do a good job presenting.

The New England partner is a better choice. It actually ejects empties. Replace the forend screw with one from a tripod camera screw and the barrel comes off. No stock modifications needed. Packs flat, looks great.

gregoryjamesaustin But the NEF costs money. This gun here can be purchased with a pickle jar full of nickels. I bought one because, why not, and I actually kinda like how it doesn't eject. It makes it easier to use those sub caliber inserts without them flying all over the place.

I got my self two of these nice little shotguns. Part of the problem with the kick on them is the back bore. Open it up and look down the load side. The back bore has a real bad transition. It should be smooth. One of mine is better than the other but they are both bad. I found out this when I tried to put my 410/45 long colt adapter in one and it would not fit. This is why slugs kick real bad. The guns should be taken to a smith and have the back bore fixed. MAGA !

@raymontutewohl81626 жыл бұрын
Avery Rodriguez I see your comment is 4 months old but I'm gonna tell you just in case you forgot to look it up. For shotguns the overall length must be 28 inches minimum, with a 18 inch barrel. You can get a shorter barrel if you pay the ATF $200 and go through a year old background check. Same with rifles except 26 inches overall and 16 inch barrel. I'm not 100% sure if paying the $200 let's you go under the 26 or 28 inch minimum though.

@mspook31376 жыл бұрын
I kinda doubt that he screwed anything serious up. There's no rifling, the end of the barrel doesn't have to bear pressure, and I also don't think an angle grinder could take the temper out of more than 1 inch of the barrel. So I'd still say he's good
