Saab 9-3 replacing shifter boot

@@99subigt Hi all done and sorted...used a 6mm drill. Tapped a thread into it. Then used a bolt to pull it off. The new one came with the plastic part on...... Couldn't of done it with your video.Cheers !!!

Hey man, this video helped me a lot when the spring for reverse gear select jumped out at me and I couldn't figure out how it went back together! I also broke my white 'frame' clip but gave up and ordered a new boot including a new frame. I hadn't even considered the fact tape might work. Lol

If u get wish app and search saab 93 shifter knob and boot i got both for about 20 bucks with shipping included. Looks great almost oem only really cheap. Most saab boot covers and combos have that plastic band that is broken in this video and is super easy to do.

To avoid breaking the white ring piece it’s simpler to remove the bottom wooden color trim first. It’s really easy you just have to unclip it off by hand. You can then unclip the white ring off from underneath. Easy.

😔 no unfortunately its a Saab story, on the other hand my saab saved my life, it was a hit and run and haven't found the trucker. I do miss my saab and I have video of the aftermath on the channel

To repair your plastic rim, you can use Plastic Welding by means of a soldering iron and some support material like wire net .... its easy !

So from my research it could be lots of things, and it depends on the engine that you have, so the most common engine was the 1.9L and it's not what we have over here, so this link shows a person having the same problem and he made a 2part vid, read the comments and see if any will help you out, I did read alot about the egr and the fuel filter so good luck, unless you can find someone with the tec2. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4SrZH6anL9jfZI

The zip should be inside, and not to be seen from outside, you made it reversed....!

Yeah someone posted saying the same, never got the chance to actually fix it the right way, I guess it doesn't bother me as much, maybe I'll make a vid on how to fix my own mistakes lol.
