Anyone who is wondering why he says "like" every second sentence; it is to do with him being a covert narcissist: Narcissists don't have a real character of their own. They are basically empty shells. This means they have to "create" a character/personality - which is often based on people they admire. It could be a work colleague, a film star or a sports star etc. They take all the most noticeable traits of these people or person and incorporate them into a character for themselves to play. It is rather like how an actor creates a personality. The narcissist will then live this fake persona for as long as nothing else better comes along. However, as soon as another person comes into their life that impresses them, then they begin to discard their false persona and begin taking on the traits of this new person who impresses them. OK now that you know that, go and take a look at the interview with NK. Notice how she uses the word "like" almost every second sentence. I believe that Chris Watts picked up on that trait and began taking on that "like" trait himself- trying to become like her - the person who was now impressing him. I think this explains his dramatic turn around in his persona. He has not met anyone else who has impressed him since then, which is why he is still in the persona of NK: Remember, they don't have any personality of their own. It also explains why he caved in so easily when he was questioned. For years he ha been simply following the script of being a "nice guy". Now he had no script to refer to so he fell apart - like an actor who had lost their lines. If you look at earlier videos of Chris Watts before he met NK, you will notice he spoke completely differently and hardly ever used the term "like".

Flower Child Sadly, I do believe what he said. He said he climbed on top of Shan’ann & when they had their last words she told him to get off of her because he was hurting the baby. I could totally see Shan’ann saying that to him because she would be concerned about the baby. Then he said he started to choke her. She had no defensive wounds because he was on top of her. She couldn’t fight back from that position. She was in a powerless position. Even if she could use her arms to try to hit him or break his hold, I highly doubt she’d have had enough strength to do so. And it just nauseates me the part about poor little Bella. I had hoped he smothered them in their sleep but sadly that part of his information makes sense too because Bella did fight for life. He killed his family and dumped them. The when, where and why is pretty irrelevant to CBI, FBI and investigators at this point. It would matter to Sandy, Frank, Frankie and possibly her friends but certainly not the gruesome details. No rational person would want those details to haunt them so WHY? Why did they need to chit chat, laugh, reassure him, butter him, praise him for his honesty MONTHS after the fact. There has to be something else going on here. They are looking for something but got nothing. This interview did not help to detour, or shine light on why a seemingly normal husband and father eliminates his family. Each case like this has a it's own set of circumstances so trying to pigeon hole them all in one category is wasted time. They didn't need his information. He couldn't keep up with Nikki's demanding nonsense, couldn't handle his marriage situation, and didn't have the courage to go through with murder-suicide so now he's sitting there trying to project himself as a really good guy who just happened to do one bad thing. Give me a break! He's a 100% coward. The "I even went to her colonoscopy....I watched her drink that clear stuff....I put her meds in the pill box, etc..." stuff is just his way of saying "see...I did a bad thing but I'm not a bad person...I'm actually a really great guy." No, moron, you're absolutely NOT great. You're the exact opposite. What you are is weak, pathetic and desperate. You never had a girlfriend because you never had the courage to stop being a meek little mouse and meet one! You got drunk with freedom when Shannan was gone for that month and couldn't stomach the idea of leaving Nikki's bed and going back to the marriage routine so you killed them. You killed them to make room for a new life with NK. You planned it out without expecting that your plan would get completely derailed by your amazing neighbors who had the film and the where with all to go ahead and call the cops. You were going to spend the day at work like normal, come home, and then play the role of the abandoned "she left me" husband, etc... Well, killer, here are a few problems with your lies. You clearly orchestrated all of this because 1) you called the kid's school; 2) you pre-arranged to be at the oil dumping site alone; 3) you researched whether fathers kill their kids; 4) your conversation with the real estate agent; etc... You confessed to the murders because you knew you were caught. You also didn't want to ruin your idea of your "upstanding reputation" as a good guy. You are actually a cold-blooded wife and child murderer who knew exactly what you were doing. It baffles me that they quietly transferred CW to a "safer" prison, didn't give him the death penalty, and are now treating him like he's the prodigal son who simply lost his way. Shannan and those three kids paid the ultimate price for his decisions. He doesn't deserve to be protected. Just as little Bella has to fend for herself, let him do the same.

He says he hears Bella every single day in his head. And that there is nothing his wife did to deserve what happened. I’m not condoning - I cried listening to the entire thing. There are no words and a special place in hell- but this is his truth. I’m sure with some lies mixed in. But I do not see anywhere him wishing for her. He wants his family back. The laughing- people do this. He has had to deal with this. The little chuckle are a stress relief. It’s a sad story all around. He was once a good man, husband and father. He states no good person or father would do what he did. We have answers now. He had the balls to tell his truth. To give us and the family closure. NK was a catalyst.
