Weather is one of the hazards a trucker deals with - especially after October! 18 hours is nothing - I've been forced to wait for three days due to bad weather. All a driver can do is park it and wait it out. It sucks, for sure.....

Really?? CDOT or any other agency can't defeat mother nature. It is what it is, I've been shut down because of weather and luckily I was at a TS and not stuck on the Interstate, you take the good with the bad and roll with it. Frustration and anger will get you no where.

That's what you see at the TS. But when the storm hit Wednesday I 70 East of Denver was a frozen ice rink so it wasn't a dusting. Has nothing to do with the drivers CDOT made the call to shut it down so what were they going to do???

The pavement is just wet in the parking lot, maybe the state should spend some money and keep the roads in a little better shape. Considering they have left the door open to any idiot to drive a truck with no training in winter driving. Especially since there has been an influx of new drivers into the truck driving market who are from warmer climates who have never seen snow in their lifetime.
