Been dealing with pedal going to floor for a week now on my 94 silverado. Replaced master, bled 2 quarts of fluid through it and still no pedal. No visible leaks. Everything else is new....and i mean everything. I was saying to myself, theres nothing left to replace but apparently i was wrong. I guess this mod is next. Very good explanation of everthing. Thank you in advance if this works. Im still baffled how this valve makes the pedal go to the floor unless like you said, air trapped and wont bleed.

Man! I asked the guys at NAPA and O'Reilly's about, just if you could bypass the ABS pump and not one of them would give me a straight answer! My brake module is burned up anyway. @@dennispendley5232 possibly wrong adaptor... take your abs modulating valve, one you remove it, with you to the parts store, and the adaptor... between the two you have both thread sizes you need for a correct adapter... the modulating valve will show you line thread size and adapter shows you the thread size into the proportioning valve... use both of those at the parts store to get an adapter that will work...

Good camera footage, and I have to say, I work on my on cars, "shade tree mechanic" if you will, and been doing it for years, so I know a bit about the basics, and get a lot of intel on these video's, but I have to say that some of the things you guy point out, and I get it, seem's kind of silly to a guy that has some knowledge about these things, because some of the "Things" you point out, if an individual who want's to work on their on vehicle does not know these "Things" my suggestion would be DO NOT WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE! This is a waste of time I've driven a 93 for years and any soft pedal issue is usually solved by adjusting the rear brake shoes. If there is a concern about the ABS system, just take the truck to a wet street or gravel road and brake hard to lock up the rear wheels. The abs pump will activate (which can be felt in the pedal) and will help unstick any parts in the ABS system. The oly time to make a mechanical system change is if there is an actual mechanical issue and there are NO parts available.
@JeffRobertson-m7v3 ай бұрын
That hasn't worked since the early 90s . 96 and newer needs a scanner to cycle abs valves in automated bleed mode. You will never get it right without doing it right.
@greeber183 ай бұрын
@@JeffRobertson-m7v Seriously, just take the truck out to a rainy/muddy/gravel road and repeat accelerating and stomping on the brakes a few times and you will feel the ABS activating. This will cycle fluid through the system and usually remedy the issue. I have even used this technique on newer vehicles,
