I think the Jewish Quarter is where the Temple was, not on the Temple Mount. I think, if surveyed, the tombs of the temple time, point to that area. Also they have found evadence of the 10th roman legion there. I would suspect the Temple would have been watered from Solomons pools.

@@IsraelwithDavidHyman when prophecy refers to places spoken of in the old testament ask yourself where are these places today in the end times? Example Jerusalem, Babylon, etc. In order to know what it is to be a Jew one needs wisdom and only God gives wisdom to worthy ones. Are you blessed with this gift? If not most likely you understandeth not my words.

jewish quarter wasn't destroyed. the british army was leading the jordanian army, they simply portioned Palestine and a million palestinians were expelled by force from the costale cities long with the Negev desert. there was no war of independence there was an ethnic cleansing.
