Biblical video tour with David Hyman, professional tour guide. This video tour takes us to the place where it all began. The city of Jerusalem is admired and loved by half of the population of our globe. Every single Christian, Muslim, and Jew have strong feelings for this amazing city. One person only is responsible for Jerusalem being in the hearts of 3.5 billion individuals, and that is King David. By choosing the small hill town of Jebus, and turning it into his capital, King David changed history forever. Our tour will explore the wonders and remails of David's city, known as Ir David. The site is a national park and an admission fee is required. To complete the entire tour, you will need to free up 3 hours of your time. The site provides guided tours, but it is also possible to tour on your own, using this video tour.
Our tour will take us to Area G. where archeologists have revealed the "Large Stone Structure" believed by a few t be the foundations of King David's palace. We will then walk down to the ancient water system called Warre's shaft and see the carved tunnels built by the Canaanite to reach the water source unexposed. We will stop at the Gihon spring, the site where Kind Solomon was anointed. Now we have reached the highlight of the tour - walking through Hezekiah's tunnel. This tunnel was carved in the rock 2700 years ago, to divert the water and bring it into the city walls, in times of war. the tunnel is dark and low, and the water level is knee-high, so please come prepared.
we will end the tour at the Siloam Pool, mentioned In John's gospel as the site of the miracle where Jesus restore the sight of the blind man.

Thank you for this information that has help us understand better all those details from the City of David! Psalm 132: 13-14 13 For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying, 14 “This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.

Hi David. You are the only Jerusalem vlogger that has actually filmed and posted video of walking through the water in the tunnel. Most other vloggers just point out the stream and move on. Thank you for showing us this. Your videos are always thorough and succinct. I always get so much information from them. Thank you.

Something to look for in Hezekiah's Tunnel... Just last year (2022) a research project was conducted to answer an age ole question. It was assumed by researchers that they must have had a way to control the level of the water in the tunnel for the upper and lower parts. Though they assumed that there was some system, they didn't know what it was until just last year. What they found is the location of a sluice gate which is essentially an adjustable dam, kinda like a guillotine that can be raised and lowered. I just went through the tunnel and was able to locate it. Its not to hard to find if you know when and where to look. The only thing that remains of it are the nails that held the original frame in place and you can make out how they carved out a rectangular slot to put the wood beams in. Look for two nails at eye level on both sides of the wall. The other 4 nails are around knee high. You will see the slots that were carved in the rock below knee level and under water. Look for it near the end of the tunnel. The level of the roof varies from about 7 ft down to 5 feet or so but near the end, the roof is 10 feet tall or more. Its easily recognizable. It was right before this point that the remnants of the gate was found. I want to say that I was in a lower section but could see that the roof was rising dramatically when I was called to, announcing it had been found. The nails are quite large and aren't hard to see at all.

It is not Palestine. It is God=Lord Jesus Christ's will for it to be Israel. It is all of Canaan, all of the Sinai peninsula, part of Egypt where the Nile is at, all of Jordan, all of Lebanon, part of Syria where Damascus is at, part of southern Iraq where Eden was and where the tree of eternal life will be present on judgement day and if God=Lord Jesus Christ allows us to eat from its fruit that day? Which is the next prophesy and part of northern Saudi Arabia. All of that is the Holy land of Israel. God=Lord Jesus Christ is the King of Israel and of all as He is the Redeemer.

Why was Abraham promised land that belonged to others (Genesis 12)? Abraham promised land ANSWER In Genesis 12:1-3, the Lord says to Abraham, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” This blessing included land that, at the time the promise was made, belonged to other people. There are several reasons why this transfer of ownership was appropriate. First, “the earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1). As the Creator of the earth, God has the right to do with it as He pleases. He can take land away or give it according to the counsel of His will (Psalm 135:6). The land pledged to Abraham was part of God’s provision for the Jewish people. After the Exodus from Egypt, the Jews were given the Promised Land, confirming God’s power to predict the future and fulfill His promises. Second, giving the land to Abraham’s descendants was, in part, a judgment on the sinful Canaanites. In Genesis 15:16 the Lord gives a timeframe for the transfer of the land, as well as a reason for it: “In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.” This statement clearly shows that God had a reason for wresting the land from the Canaanites-namely, their sin. At the edge of the Promised Land, Moses told the children of Abraham, “It is on account of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD is going to drive them out before you” (Deuteronomy 9:4). Abraham did not inherit the land immediately because it was not time yet for judgment to fall. God eventually took the land from the idolaters and turned it over to His children. Third, the prosperity promised to Abraham required much land. Prosperity in Abraham’s time involved acquiring land and having much livestock. God’s promise to make Abraham prosperous would virtually require giving him large amounts of land. Fourth, the geographical portion of the Abrahamic Covenant served as the historical basis for Israel’s eventual settlement of the land. Though there were many nations living in Canaan when Israel crossed the Jordan River, God’s promise to Abraham was Israel’s claim to the land. In Genesis 15:18-21, God further defined the borders of the land promised to Abraham: “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.” Yes, God promised Abraham land that belonged to others. The reasons for this transfer of land include the need to punish the Canaanites’ sin and the need for God’s chosen people to have a land of their own, eventually to become the birthplace of the Messiah Lord Jesus Christ (Immanuel meaning God among us.).
