Seems like my reaction gets deleted shortly after I post it... maybe not if I react to a reaction?... I would like to elaborate on the name of Jerusalem as mentioned at 23:15. What’s in a name? In Genesis 14:18-20, Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of The Most High (Elohim). When David changed the name from Jebus to Jerusalem, he was inspired to do so. We can find the meaning of “Jeru” in Judges 6:32 where Gideon had torn down the altar of Baal, his father told the angry mob that baal should be able to revenge himself. They called Gideon Jerubbaal, which means something like struggle, conflict or dispute with Baal. The meaning of Salem is the same as Shalom in a different accent. The name Solomon means “Peaceful”. 1 Chronicles 22:9 says “Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.” So if “Jeru” means struggle/conflict/dispute and “Salem” means peace… and if the name was given to David by inspiration… this must be a city that has been, and still is, struggling with peace… I cannot think of any other city in the world that would qualify more for that prophetically inspired description.

I forgot to mention the great scholar who studied under Gamaliël, Paul in his letter to the Hebrews chapter 7 the first two verses: “For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;”

Muhammads "Night Journey" to Al-Aqsa. During muhammads time, there was no Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. In fact there was no Mosques in Jerusalem during Muhammads times. And their was no Temple, just a Temple Mount during muhammads times. Al-Aqsa was built in 681 year and finished in 705 year. That's about 59 years after muhammads death. The Dome of the Rock was finished by the son of the caliph, Abdul Malik and Malik died in 705 year. Muhammad supposedly jumped on the back of Al-burak. Al-burak is a hybrid kind of creature that looks human but with the body and shape of a mule or donkey. I repeat there was no Al-Aqsa or dome of the rock during muhammads times. Not surprising. The Muslims built the al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock solely to prevent the Jews from rebuilding the Temple. They were or are paranoid that the Jews would do so if there were no mosque present. No Temple will be built Neil the Messiah comes. At which time there will be peace and everyone will agree to it rebuilding.

A couple things come to mind whenever I think about the Temple Rock. 1.) Islam always builds temples on top of concurs Holy grounds. Islam has no problem destroying a Church or Temple. But Christians and Jews are not so willing to do so. So Islam has taken to placing temples on concurred Holy Ground so that they can claim it as theirs. 2.) The Islamic Prophet had to fly to God, not from Medina or the most Holy of Islamic Temples but from a Jewish Temple site. Kind of a blow to Islam as far as I see it. Places the entire center of the faith on war instead of Peace.

Thanks for teaming up with Danny! I have seen many of his videos in the past. He is a very, very detailed archaeologist and never ceases to point out fascinating minutiae which most folks would never know. What he lacks, which you possess and convey in abundance, are personal perspectives and opinions which I just love and lend a real sense of reality and of "being there" to many of your talks. And you always do so in a nonconfrontational, kind, compassionate way ---- even on topics where you are certain that many listeners likely have a different point of view. Thank you for that Oren!! Thank you so much for the detailed tour of the archaeological remains in plain sight; besides the few things still present from the Second Temple, my mind was blown that there was a baptistry and a still present baptismal font.

Very very educational content Oren. Keep doing what you are doing. Very well presented and very well reasoned arguments. Much respect going out to you. I came across your content in a bid to learn a bit more about the history between Jews and Arabs on the land that is now Israel.

Absolutely gorgeous video about the place I was lucky enough to visit in 2019. I recognized many spots where I was standing and going back in time but now with fantastic history commentary by your friend Danny. I am just saying to myself,.....what a shame Israel did not keep this place in its custody after 1967 victory. I am sure there would be another Temple standing there by now.

Simply outstanding! I had the honor to visit the Israel mid March 2020. Yes the exact week when everything started to shut down. We were unable to visit the Dome of the Rock. Certainly celebrated the Christian , Jewish and Armenian quarters. I was most appreciative of what I did see but was left longing to see what was missed . Through videos like yours I do feel more complete. Ever so thankful for the work you are doing. Please keep up the great work you do!

AWESOME! THANKS! Great to hear an archaeological perspective! So much of what is pointed to, in Jerusalem especially, is traditional religious perspective. Always nice to get an objective perspective. I don't think I have ever seen a perspective on the Temple Mount with so many specific details pointed out from different eras of the Temple Mount history.
