I am crying real tears as I hear you talk about Carlos driving home and having a panic attack. Been there! Been there! Been there! While caring for my Mom, I remember driving and having to pull over and cry, being in the grocery store aisle crying and unable to move, standing in my living room and screaming so loudly that my neigbor called. My heart breaks for Carlos and his sister…and for you. The eight year journey with my Mom ended two years ago. I would gladly do it ALL again, but it was hard. Remember this…caregiving is an assignment for which only a few are chosen. It’s an honor to be chosen. It’s an honor to serve. I’m praying for your strength and patience. Hi Carolyn, I am a nurse, have been in nursing and surgery for 40 years. Take a tablet whenever you go to the hospital or the rehab center that will make the nurses and the doctors know that you even if you don't take any notes that will make them be on there toes and take the best care of Carlos's mother. You need all of the paperwork from the rehab from the hospital everything if you are interested in malpractice to see exactly what was done what was going on what they charted because that is what the lawyer is gonna need, I hope everything goes well. Even though I have a nurse had to do the same thing. I'm telling you when my mother was in ICU and in the hospital God be with you.

I've been there!!! I'm triggered watching the video. My siblings and I went through this with my mom. Outside of the tumor, my mom suffered a major neurological change in 2022 and went through everything you all experienced. It was difficult to navigate, even as a nurse. We never had real answers to why she regressed so rapidly. Mom is resting now. We miss her, but no longer is she suffering. I'm praying God's favor over his mom. Bless the minds and hands of her medical team 🙏🏾

I wish all goes well. It’s hard when family, close people going thru illness and few lucky ones goes thru life with good luck I guess and health. I’m chronically ill myself (including IBS) and basically 3 people in my life sick and possibly dying. It’s so important to try and take some moments with your partner, a friend etc to just relax (I know impossible..) and do something nice comforting etc. Wish Carlos’ mum and all of you peaceful christmas and healthy new year. ❤ I think too many people are selfish when feeling sick going around spreading it.

Hey Caroline, absolutely love your channel. Your stomach issues sound just like mine use to. I also went to the gastroenterologist and got an endoscopy and they said everything was normal. But my gut health was poor. Long story short I had low stomach acid which is essential for proper efficient digestion. I started taking super enzymes by now foods and literally my chronic symptoms improved miraculously. Just look into it. ❤

I understand the battle with IBS. I am often nauseous. I have had a colonoscopy and the endoscopy. I was told that I have stress triggered IBS-D. I take medication but on even given day I may feel sick. When my anxiety is high the condition worsens. It sucks. Praying for Mama Chella and your family..

I’m so sorry. Just listening to you describe Carlos’ mother medical issues and what you all are experiencing has me in tears. My Mom was recently admitted to the hospital and her condition has not improved. I started therapy this morning. And constantly praying for God to heal her. I will keep Mama Chella in my prayers❤

Carolyn not to worry about the gastric scopes. The WORST part is the prep, but other than that, you'll be fine. If they're going to scope the tummy, get them to scope your colon too, just to be thorough. I'm praying for Carlos's Mom and that you get your tummy issues sorted.

I'm sorry you all are experiencing the care of older parents with severe medical issues. Carlos is lucky to have a caring, supportive person like you, it makes all the difference. Perhaps you can keep a food diary… what you ate and how it made you feel. this way you might be able to do some inventory and see if there are any patterns. Also you can try an elimination diet.

Praying for you guys❤! I remember TAKING an allergy pill before my allergy test, your not supposed to. My arm flared up to everything, I wanted to rip my arm off. So when she came in she said let's get you a pill to calm it down. I said I took a pill this morning. She said, wait what?! She called in the other doctors to come look at how big my reaction was even after taking an allergy pill! She said I should consider getting the shots. I felt like a lab rat being studied, lol! She was so loud, another doctor walked in wanting to see my arm.

I have the same (IBS and pollen allergies). The FODMAP diet helps, it sucks lol, but helpful. Pineapple has a high pollen issue. I can’t taste anything for 24hrs if I eat fresh pineapple. I hope you feel some relief soon.

I was hanging on to every single word you were saying about Mama Chella and in addition to continued prayers I took am pissed with the callousness that's occurred. I'm sure I'm closer to her age than I am to yours, yet another reason to listen up attentively. Quite a few years back my son went through with me in the not knowing what was wrong with my health issues but praise God we finally got answers & I pray Carlos will as well...sooner than later.🙏🏿 Speaking of Carlos, tell him Ms. Bev said he's got a twin in Chicago 😊. When I was in Target the other day there was a guy sitting in the window seal talking on his phone and his voice sounded just like Carlos...I had to take a good look cause' his demeanor was the same...talking business yet a bit relaxed/confident. (I'm guessing he was waiting while his person shopped) Anywho he didn't look like Carlos or I would've gone over and said "hey Carlos I'm a Cookie" and the guy probably would've said old lady you betta' keep it moving 😂. Such an awesome God we serve and I know many of us are praying with you Carlos & his Sister. 🙏🏿❤️

Please get a Malpractice Lawyer. My mom went to the emergency room with back pain. The doctor sent her home with UTI meds. She died the next morning in my arms. Some doctors just don't care.

Dang Carolyn! I am prayerfully thinking 'Carlos, Mama Chella, Carlos's sister and just your whole family sis. Having an ailing parent is such a challenge, because you have to trust the healthcare provider's and they way it's set up, the healthcare especially for eldercare is bottom of the barrel.
