Trust me i know. I was in a really bad car accident back on may 10, 2016. Had 6 surgeries since. A shitload of physical therapy!!!!! To learn how to walk again.. im still not working. I haven't been released by the dr yet. Hopefully within the next couple months... yea appreciate what you have. Always try to be nice to everyone. You never know when its your time

Instead of angle iron for the intercooler mounts, could you take a piece of square tubing and cut it at 45 or 60 degrees and weld it on? Have one flat end and one angled end.

Use U channel and 2 legs off leaving a tap to sit on top. Then drill a hole for the post of the inter cooler to sit in. Will save a lot of time not needing to cut the other tabs off. And if you ever wanted return back to a stock intercooler you can.

Those intercooler mount tabs r not that bad to cut off n move. As long as u have a cut off wheel n grinder u shouldn't have any problems.

Bryan Mussel I agree. Use the 3" cut off wheel for the big stuff and use the Dremel for the "finish" part to break the welds.

Darin Allen yea he will be fine. I'm a collision tech/painter/fabricator at a shop in buffalo ny. I have cut these off before on wrecked cars to replace n had no issues. Greg A can't wait to see that intercooler in 1st gen tho. Will look amazing

Greg, Is the hood latch going to hit the top of your intercooler after you remove the upper brace? Hope not, or you may have to pin the hood down. (So much for the Virgin stock hood, oh that's right!
