I hear this song and I imagine a distant kingdom. A prince leading his army into battle. His father, the king, wears a solemn expression. The prince commands his troops forward towards a war. The prince scowls at his father. He either fought in this war or stayed in the comfort of his castle with his countrymen being slain. That’s at least what everyone around him thought. In truth the prince was scared of the King. He didn’t want to be that person, but as the only son it would feel to the prince that his future was set in steel and blood. The army under his command was successful. They drove off foreign invaders. The men that followed the prince believed him to be a wonderful ruler, not a scared child. Many men boasted their children’s future, others talked of promotions and ideals. The prince alone stood as the one who so desperately wanted to leave. All was well until one night under the embers of their torches, the army was ambushed. The prince desperately fought with his knights. He saw the men with ideals fall. The wonderful fathers scream in pain. A man charged at the prince. Some of his compatriots screamed to dodge, others began sprinting to help the prince. The prince had ample opportunity to dodge. He saw himself in the cold steel blade of the invader and thought, “this little hero just wants to die”. Thus ends story time

Okay i read a couple of comments and listened to the song repeatedly. According to LeGrand, the inlandian deathworm senses vibrations on the ground, meaning itd go crazier the more you run. Ill get into that in a second. The song is about a person who always helps others and is loved by them, some of them taking granted of that, some people appreciating it. Little Hero "run from your friends, from your family" because they're avoiding the friends and family when they try to help. Back to the worm, its a symbol for the more you run from the truth and your problems, the worse it'll get. Hes not afraid of other peoples problems, helping them casually and being appreciated, but doesnt ever want help, trying to avoid his own problems by hiding them behind his helpful attitude, but it just makes it worse for him and he doesnt know it. He just runs from it with the anxiety of worse than whats already happening. Insecurity. I would love LeGrands opinion on my interpretation lol. Amazing song.

I like this, it's almost feels casual but has a nice undertone that betrays that kind of calm before the storm. Though I feel like it needs just a little more oomph around 0:20 when the beat is meant to drop, and again at 1:10 with the run run run. Maybe we could see a bass-boosted version before other KZbinrs do it so you can capitalize on it? But this is coming from a heavy metal fan soooo.. take it with a grain of salt. I do love it though, worth the subscribe. :D

I've listened to this song on spotify about 15ish times now, so i feel qualified to post about it now. Wow. First, the song sounds amazing, as all of LeGrand's songs do. Second, the story feels great. It feels like it's telling the story of someone who is broken inside, but keeps on a mask to convince everyone that they are fine. As time goes on, they start to simultaneously view falling as the worst thing that can happen to them and as the only thing they can do (as portrayed by slip being censored by profanity.) As they start to push more and more people away, making their true self more and more of a mystery, their mental state worsens, changing from just wanting to run, to wanting to die.
