I just beat the shura gauntlet for the first time today. I had tried it when the gauntlets first came out and i gave up so many times, but this time i did it second try, which made me very proud. Tried this gauntlet immadiately after and i'm facing the same issue of wanting to give up, all because of the double ape fight. It's still the only boss that i have no clue how i should approach it, and i don't wanna cheese it with the firecrackers either. Edit: Nooo, stop. I just saw that insane strat for the double ape, i had no clue it's even possible to kill the headless ape before he gets a chance to call the other one. I feel so cheated now that i know these strats exist :(

TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE STRUGGLING WITH THIS GAUNTLET I learned that you can carry over the ceremonial tanto spirit emblems through loading screens. After a boss fight, rest, use the tanto, and then use a pellet to bring you back up to just about full health. The extra 5 spirit emblems are a life saver against fights like the demon of hatred and and the ape duo, and also makes cheesing the guardian ape solo and false monk a breeze. Divine confetti and akos sugar also help against most if not all bosses

I love the Demon of Hatred kill in this. The fight has become boring to me with the dodging, running, and spamming R1. It looks a lot more fun using the umbrella deflect and regular deflects to deal damage, and it seemed to faster too!

I use this strat for the shura gauntlet because the deflect kill is so much faster and more fun. Plus you get more out of your sugars because they match the phase changes

If there’s one boss the community as a whole can bully, it’s Genichiro Edit: I can’t tell if using the spear against Isshin is actually viable, or it’s just you flexing

I’m right there With ya bro but I think it may actually be a sound strategy at keeping the distance close. The thing that really blows my mind is him step dodging that sword strike from wolfs left. Simply unreal

We all died so many times to Isshin that Genichrio just became tedious. On my first playthrough of the game I was consistently killing Genichiro flawlessly by the time I finally beat Isshin.

@@guitarluva90 Funnily enough, I never got much better at Genichiro over my time fighting Saint Isshin. I could still destroy him, but I never got better at destroying him cause I was always fighting in the rhythm of Isshin the Sword Saint rather than Genichiro.
