Actually the memory you get from beating him says Owl was never this good in real life. Apparently he fought better in Sekiro's memory of him than he actually did in reality. Sekiro remembered him being at a level far greater than he actually was.

Every inner boss variation is a version that’s far surpasses their earlier variants for example Genichiro was never able to perform the Sakura dance or fight like his mother but now he can Owl fully utilized the whirlwind slash and mist raven pushing his shinobi tools to their limit Isshin never used the mortal blade mortal draw so I believe that version is a what if he had trained with the black mortal blade

I beat the three main gauntlets! And I got the last one on my first try! I just needed to share, cuz I feel like a fucking god right now. Also, Owl (Father) is my favorite fight in the base game, and Inner Owl's new moves just make him even more intense and fun for me! Awesome stuff. Though I didn't beat him flawlessly like you, and I didn't have the bell or Kyro's charm debuffs. I guess that's gonna be the next challenge, because I don't think I have the mental fortitude to do the fourth gauntlet, especially if there's no reward

A tip for the mist raven teleport he does: hit him one time,when you see him block or getting slashed hit him again, usually go for 2 R1’s if you feel confident then go for 3. However if the first slash he teleports, parry the two attacks then hit him ONE TIME, this is crucial because sometimes he does the mist raven three times in a row, so basically 1 hit mist raven 2 parry 1 hit mist raven 2 parry 1 hit mist raven. Always just hit him 1 time after he does the mist raven to be sure

Funny, if you use the shurikens on his first phase like you did, after his backwards kick-jump; then it's almost like he learns that technique from you and starts countering it with his own shurikens on the second phase. And since you could say that you kinda learn that technique from him, on the first fight against him, on top of the Ashina castle, it creates a sort of time loop.

The sugar he used in this fight is the perfect example of 'High Risk, High Reward'. You lose a great portion of your health and your tolerance in posture is greatly reduced. However, in return, you have the ability to destroy the posture of even the strongest opponents in mere seconds.

In the German Version Inner Owl is Called Foster Father which makes him the only out of the 3 inner bosses to have a unique name since The other two are just called Genichiro and Isshin no inner Part to them

Out of all the inner boss version Owl has to be mi favorite. He has so many mix ups he just keeps you in your toes! Genichiro was eye candy that requiered some parrying and Isshin’s new Mortal Blade move was super cool but the new Spear phase move was predictable and kinda boring IMO.

Ok so I beat him, the only boss I had left to take care of. Have to say… THAT WAS EASY AS FUCK COMPARED TO A BUNCH OF OTHER HARD BOSSES WTF IS THE COMMUNITY TALKING ABOUT? I second tried him and that was the run I didn’t need a revive, spent five gourds recovering from my mistakes against moves the inner fight didn’t include, one extra gourd for phase 2’s mist combo, AND second try was the first time I reached his second phase! How the fuck is he the hardest? That doesn’t make sense! I would say DoH, Emma, all three Isshins, Inner Geni, ape duo, and both monks are harder!

just realized i was using the umbrellas too little. thats why i was wondering what was i doing wrong in inner owl fight. though i have beaten him now. malding at isshin now. i have gotten his phase 1 moveset. now i'm struggling at phase 2. though i will likely get it down today. so this i s wht it feels like to learn the moveset rather than getting them in ur muscle memory bcuz u kept dying.
