Why Gears of War 3 Was a Masterpiece (Gears of War 3 Retrospective)

Gears of War 3 was one of my favourite games of all time, and after replaying it again I was very quick to be reminded of why! But, Gears 3 isn't mentioned anywhere near as much as Gears 2... But why? Why was Gears of War 3 So Underrated?

Man, I think this game was the perfect way to end the series. I remember when it came out, I was so hyped, my father got it while I was in school, I remember watching him play horde mode day one and just waiting for my turn. Gears 2 was amazing, but Gears 3 was so much fun! Hearing about Marcus's suffering was painful, man lost so much but at the end Anya was there to support him. And then The Coalition just killed Anya off camera?! It sucks how they cant leave a finished story alone, to me the trilogy are the real games, they were made with care
