Him and Merrin should stay together and raise Kata, and he should continue his story as a gray jedi. Keep Cere’s legacy alive, but not at the cost of his own happiness

By the looks of things, by the time Rey is building her new Jedi order, Cal would be in his 80s (born 32BBY, new film set 15 after Rise of Skywalker which was set 35ABY), therefore Cal could most definitely be still alive. Therefore I think Cal could try close off the Abyss to create an isolated order, which Rey will then discover at the end of her film. Probably a great stretch but oh well

I don’t think cal would want to remake the Jedi order at all, his whole journey from fallen order to survivor is him finding himself in a world without the Jedi, discovering who he is and wants to be, and accepting the fact that the Jedi are gone and there’s no going back to the way things were. The only reason he still fought the empire was because he was dealing with guilt and stuck in the past. He couldn’t move forward because if he let himself not only would his conscience feel guilty about those he lost but he acknowledged the fact that he would always be hunted, there was nowhere to hide until he found tanalorr

so its interesting. i think the next game will see cal battling with his role as a mentor. the first game followed his journey from padawan (kinda) to jedi knight, and this game from jedi knight to master. the next game would see him fully take on that role. i do disagree with the huge battle thing. i think the want to do that will be a major plot point for cals character in the next game, and ultimately it will be an internal battle for him to not see safety as giving up, but as potential for the future. i can see a lot of the game following cal trying to safely harbor jedi or force sensitive children to tanalor with kara being a padawan to him.

I think the sequel should explore the idea that the Force isn't just Good and Bad and that is best to balance Yourself as You try to Balance the force. He goes more Rogue Jedi with more stealth combat and learning force abilities with Merrin and Kata and by other means.

I guess the ultimate issue with the story is that Cal's actions, mind you unknowingly, of course unknowingly, lead to all the events that take place and the multitude of people murdered. Cal is the one that finds Zee, after she's been buried and hidden for hundreds of years. Cal is the one to release Dagan. Cal brings Bode into the inner circle. Look, I get it. He was betrayed. He didn't want any of it to happen. Hell, actively sought to stop such things from happening. But it is all of his actions that led to all the deaths. If Cal simply did nothing, Cere and Master whats-his-face would still be alive. The Hidden Path would still be hidden. He'd just be chilling at a bar. Of course the Rayvis may have located the artifact and then released Dagan. The Empire could have found the Hidden Path later. But I guess we'll never know. The moral of the story, if it seems too good to be true, some mystical place where everyone is safe, it probably is.

At the end of the third game, Empire will come in full force and Cal will be forced to close the Koboh Abyss maybe ever destroying part of the fleet while they travel the Koboh Abyss. This will cut off Tanalorr from the rest of the galaxy. With epilogue in the future (like in "Red Dead Redemption") where we play as Kata were they finally able to open Koboh Abyss and join the rest of the galaxy.

Well, we all know there was no massive battle between the Empire and an enclave of Jedi in established canon...the base gets found, invaded, destroyed. Vader personally kills Kata as Cal and Merrin watch with the Emperor cackling "Goood....goood....". The rest of the game is them seeking vengeance of some kind and possibly disappearing afterward to find some much needed peace and raise Merrin's children with Cal.

9:25 Cal was not jedi before the first game. He was a padawan under master tapal and he was probably teenager. In the first game with the guidance of Cere and with all of the hardships he had he passed the test, found his crystal and knighted by Cere. In the end of first game and second game he was proper jedi knight and like he said he knighted on the field.

Doubt it. Vader is currently in his selfish phase. He’s going to spend the next 9 years focusing on finding kenobi and destroying him. Cal will probably lay low on tanarlorr. Vader will then presume that cal is dead because he just disappeared.

Imo it's going to be 3 games, at least for Cal as the main character. Fallen Order: Padawan era, him accepting what happened to his master, overcoming his traumas, and being Knighted by Cere at the end. Survivor: Jedi Knight era, is about Cal dealing with the pull to the dark side, at the end he still haven't dealt with it fully, but is in the path to becoming a Master Third game: Jedi Master era, in this one imo Cal will finally overcome his dark side temptations in act 1 of the game, and later with the forces on Thanalor help the resistance at the battle of Endor. Kata might be the next protagonist going on, from game 4 onwards if they make it. I imagine she will be kinda like Ciri, she'll learn the jedi ways from Cal and Merryn will also teach her a thing or two from the night sisters. We might even see Bode's force ghost at a key point in her journey, there's a lot of potential to her character.

Kata will never trust or love Cal. She will never forgive him. Her hate for him will only grow. He killed her father. This is where the story of Boba Fett got it right. The writers obviously don't have children and didn't even bother to consult with a parent when writing this. Especially at this age the father of a little girl, no matter how messed up he is, is her hero and her world. And with no mother, Cal hasn't just killed her father, her hero, the one she loves most, he has destroyed her whole world. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the writers new this and are setting us up for the next game. Maybe in the next game Kata destroys everything, kills Cal with tears in her eyes, and Cal finally learns his lesson. Or Cal turns to the dark side defeats Kata and turns her into his apprentice. But for me this ending is a big disappointment, because I like Cal and I want him to actually be the good guy. Please, someone make a mod that takes away the pause before Cal shoots Bode the first time and also takes away the part where he executes him completely. It would be nice if they could add a part where with his last breath Bode repeats "I only wanted to protect my daughter." That's probably not possible, but with AI or some creative editing, who knows.

Honestly I’d like dlc where we find the scattered remnants of the hidden path on different planets. And then in the third game have it take place like 10 years later with an older cal in his 30s training kata. Having us take on the empire traveling to different planets helping them out by clearing out the empires hold. It could end with the empire finding tanalorr and raiding the planet and we close off the path to tanalorr for good trapping us on the planet with what’s left of the hidden path/people we transported and some of the empires remnants. The story is leading to cal becoming a Jedi master. The first game he was a padawan, this game he’s a knight and with the next he becomes a master and has to deal with the struggles of being a leader and training a padawan

This might be a long comment and I'm sorry lol. The way I see the ending is that, Cal embraces the darkness but refuses to let it corrupt him. Cuz you still can use the OP move with the dark side, so, that's how I see the ending. And how he'd train the next generation of Jedi, not being afraid of the dark side, but able to use it for the right reasons. And I think that'd be very interesting to see Cal train some Jedi to use the light side of the Force, but not fear the dark side if necessary cuz the dark side could be tempting. (I also just beat the game a couple hours ago and it's got me thinking lol) And with the next game, I think Cal, Merrin and Cata (Kata, I can't remember lol) all leading the Jedi order. Cuz the way the game ends, Cal promises to Cere he'll start a new Jedi order and to train Cata (Kata, I'm gonna do this the whole time, don't judge me pls lol) So, I imagine the third game will be exactly that. And tbh, I want Cata (Kata) to be the playable character, it'll be a fresh change of pace for this particular series. Not that it's a bad thing having had Cal as a lead, he's probably my favorite Star Wars character, but I think honestly, with this ending of him promising to start a new order and to train Cata (Kata), that could be a good ending for him. So, honestly, I think a good way to continue the series is with her being the lead now, in her own self contained story. That's what I'm hoping for but I imagine it'll be Cal as the lead, training her and a bunch of padawans, having a haven for people persecuted by the Empire. What the story will be, idk, but we all know that's the basis for the next game.

Overall, the games was great. Loved the exploration, combat and the story was also not bad. Here's my "negative points": - While Koboh was huge to explore, I wished you could visit more planets... - They could make more "space scenes". What I mean is I wanted more space stuff. Like spaceships flying around... The animations for the lift off and landing were not so cool. - Stances were interesting, but I hated the idea of a Jedi with a Blaster. For the next game I hope: - I hope they change the spaceship for the next game. They could make one like the Normandy in Mass Effect! That you can explore more and maybe built up, gear up... - A really good villain. Not one that appears at the end with weak motivations... One that grows with the story... - An even more lively cantina! We want lots of the galaxy species there! Also we want data about the species!

Been thinking about the meaning of the title “Jedi Survivor”. Most people might think the Jedi Survivor is Cal, Dagan, or maybe even Bode. But I think it’s different. Order 66 definitely changed the ones who survived. I think it means the Jedi still exist. But there are no padawans. No knights. No masters. Only survivors.

The narrative thread will be Cal's flirting with the Darkside and through him, Kata and her memories and bitterness of her true father. It's laughable that you think in the third game Cal will take out Vader and the Emperor. Since these games take place before the events of A New Hope, you know both Vader and the Emperor live, since they don't die until the events of Return of the Jedi. Also I'm wondering if you know what the word "cliffhanger" means because the game doesn't end on a cliffhanger as you claim. Cal kills Bode, that's a conclusive ending. As you know throughout the game Cal can chat with others, if you continue playing after the story ends, his dialogue is mostly about gathering supplies to rebuild Tanalorr. So the third game will most likely take place, at least in part, on Tanalorr. None of this could be considered a cliffhanger though, this game does have a conclusion.

There is a good chance of this happening as in this game we get to play as cere thus teasing that we could play as multiple characters. It could be like RDR2 maybe Cal dying protecting kate.

I was very impressed by the storytelling in this game, and I am very eager to see what comes next. My theory (or hope) is that it takes another jump through time, where you see Cal as a Jedi Master training Kata, (even having her as a playable character) who has become his Padawan; and the most interesting thing about that is, we all know Cal is trying to resist against the darkness, but now he has to teach her to do the same (as Cere vaguely hinted at). I think it would be even better if, having taught Kata these things, Cal still turns. AND THEN we play as Kata in the next game (another time jump) where Cal is the enemy we are trying to bring back to the light! ...you have to imagine the emotional stakes at play in a story like that. It's the kind of thing Star Wars has been missing too much recently. A good, emotion fueled, beyond epic, saber battle... That WE get to Fully experience in gameplay. I don't care if what I have written out here doesn't happen at all, as long as we get that.

Wild theory but I could see a Kratos/Ateeus for Cal/Kata coming of age story for the pair but eventually Kata succumbs due to her internal suffering of her father's death at the hands of Cal which leads to her fall to the dark side and she becomes the main villain of the last game

But also the time skip should have to happen it should take place between the empire strikes back and return of the jedi. Remember jedi fallen order is set 5 years after the events of revenge of the sith and survival is set before kenobi (disney plus series)

The next game will be a 10 year time jump for that i am certain. Cameron Monaghan will appear in live action, he will meet Quinlan Vos as well , Quinlan will be in the new jedi order as well as Old Man Quinlan. The new jedi order will have plenty of order 66 survivor's like oppo rancisis as well

I think that the next game will will see Cal becoming a Grey Jedi. Training a maybe Teen Kata. I also think Cal will die in the end of the next game and Merrin and Kata will survive and continue on.

What I feel like is gonna happen is cal is gonna be like an obi wan hermit. Probably the last game will probably be just a few years before return of the Jedi and either get killed off in the end or pass down his knowledge and become one with the force. My biggest question is cal is canon or not. It’s kinda turning into like a forced unleashed story where you can fight and kill story characters at one point now. So many possibilities. Either way cal always loses in some ways. Sure he go over his guilt. But there’s lots of doubt and conflict within him. Let’s hope for story dlc or the next game in a few years.

This is a lot to ask for from the devs but I feel like they set themselves up for so much its amazing. I would love to see a game that is double this size by way of two campaigns one as Cal and one as an older Kata kind of a game that plays as fallen order and survivor at once based on who you are controlling. I would love if there was a mechanic that allowed us to switch back and forth not exactly like GTA 5 but now that I'm typing this out I guess idk but a game where we experience Cal as a jedi master and then get to experience the dynamic of his lessons and how Kata uses them to develop herself... also their relationship i would say they age her to at least cal's age when we meet him because one controlling a literal child padawan would not be it but two there has to be an interesting dynamic to learning from the guy that killed your dad not that she doesn't get why he had to die but there has to be something there right?

So all of that build up, and character development was for nothing? You just want a horrendously depressing ending where everyone dies? I don’t get it. The games desperately need to stop using Vader as a crutch. The galaxy is massive, with conflict happening everywhere. If I where to guess, they’ll make the empire have even less of a part in the third game. Of course it will still be a big nuisance to the crew, but the main objective won’t be to stop them this time around. The next game will definitely pick up no more than like a year from survivor, and will involve Cals journey in contacting the hidden path, with him battling his darkness along the way. Maybe they’ll even include more high republic stuff.

@@VuittonDon13 We really don't. All we know is that we don't see them join the rebellion. The hidden path specializes in sheltering force sensitives and surviving Jedi from the Empire. I'm fairly certain that the whole idea of Tanalorr is to keep Cal and his crew hidden from the Empire until it ultimately falls. Maybe Cal will have a premonition where he sees that someone (Luke) and the rebellion will be the ones to destroy the Empire, realizing that he is no longer needed in the fight. It seems that the game has been hinting at Cal disappearing with Merrin and starting a new life with her. Multiple different characters comment on the chemistry and the wayward glances they do at each other. Telling him that he needs to not let the small things slip away, If the third one ends up selling well they'll probably make a second trilogy revolving around Cals offspring post-ROTJ.

That's why they should've had Trilla survive Fallen Order so the deaths of both Cere and Cordova would devastate her on how close she was to her old master that would have once again consume her to the Dark Side and she and Bode would end up killing each other, literally. I’d like to see a Last of us part two start to game 3: Cal dies heroically and you begin to play as Kata trying to define herself thru her adopted fathers teachings and explore sith temples this time and learn on how to either use the dark side or learn old cloning tech to learn about rumors of the emperors ideas to start cloning himself possibly crossing paths with mandalorians/ the bounty guild/ or the New Republic itself to see plenty of well known characters from the rebellion

Kata as Cals padawan, either Cal or Kata will struggle with the dark side. I'm hoping for a dystopian ending where The Empire comes crushing down on Tanalorr because we know Cal won't win against the Empire that is Lukes job, hopefully we get to see The Emperor and maybe Cal and Merrin dies and Kata lives on.

Just my opinion: For it to be canonically heroic, they would have to establish a Jedi enclave and at some point, they would have to emerge to draw some of the Empire's forces away from the Battle of Yavin. One of those extremely important facts that gets lost in the celebrity of history. Think the Aleutian feint the Japanese launched before the Battle of Midway. Hopefully, it would end up being more useful than the Japanese strategy.

I think Padawan Kata is pretty inevitable, and would be a fun dynamic. I'd like to see her trained not only as a Jedi, but also as a nightsister. It would give her more variety in her abilities, while the dual training could be used as an excuse to keep her from being quite as overpowered as Merrin. I absolutely do not want to see the Emperor or Vader, at all. Smaller stories, involving more limited but personal goals and settings, will be much better than stupid bombast and melodrama. Vader's appearance in Survivor was borderline cringe, as he always will be now. We know how Vader and Palatine end, and it makes their involvement tedious. New enemies, please. Tanalorr is cool because it gives out characters a sort of time capsule to carry them through the rest of the OT timeline without having to do too much explaining of why they weren't in any films. Maybe we can even skip right past the Disney Wars movies, though I'm probably being too optimistic about that. Even if we did get to bypass that crap, I would hardly like to see Cal interacting with Rey. I think a Grey Jedi Order would be the best progression for our characters here, fitting Cal's apparent acceptance of romance, attachment, and negative emotions (not to mention blasters.) They could keep the Order as parallel to the (new) New Jedi Order, and we could bring in characters that wouldn't be interested in the Jedi Code as it was, but could be influential in developing a new philosophy and culture. Also, with the Jedi games being a bit of a spiritual successor to the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games, I would like to see our Jedi using lightning, choke, and rage, exploring a balance in the Force without completely rejecting the Dark Side. That's not a likely change for the Light Side purists, but it's quite reasonable for Grey Jedi.

Cal is adopting cere roll in the hidden path maybe even taking a more proactive role in the path in like 5 more years the rebel alliance will be more fleshed out and more active at that time I think cal and merrin might have a mother father relationship with kata seeing that they both take responsibility for her being an orphan and they both know what it’s like to be in that situation I want them to have a happy ending but I don’t think so and I’m nervous for cal because like Vader told cere “im coming for you” meaning he remembers them and they are both on his shit list and very very VERY rarely does anyone makes it off of Vader shit list obi and Ashoka are like the only ones that managed to slip away vader showed up to kill cere personally he felt obligated to kill her he could of sent inquisitors to handle it but he wanted to do it himself on a planet with sand (we all know how much he hates sand) but on a serious note I got a gut feeling that Vader will be coming after cal him self and I don’t think cal will get away I Want cal to have a happy life with him merrin and kata I really do and a long life at that but if vaders sniffing around I just don’t think that’s possible sadly but fingers cross that cal lives happy with his family
