A 1980's vintage Daisy Model 1938B Red Ryder and a Daisy Model 94 arrive for work!

I note the Reg No starts with a F and 6 digits, my Model 94 from Plymouth Michigan is C323321 which has to be a late Plymouth gun as I got in in 1957 plus or minus one year. Wish I had access to Santa’s records!

Looking forward to shooting these. The 1983B was my son's gun. I'm 64 and my childhood goes back a few more years lol. I'll try and send some pictures of my son and grandsons with the finished product. Trying to be done with covid right now. It's not been a pleasant experience

Keep fighting the 'Vid and I'll get these knocked out and back to you as soon as I can. I'll be putting the mechanical's in the Model 1938B tomorrow and I'll let you know the results, then it's on the Model 94.

Here's a little trivia: One way to tell at a glace that a 1938B Red Ryder does not have the anti beartrap mechanism is the orientation of the saddle ring. If it flops fore and aft like an 111-40, it does *not* have the beartrap. If it flops up and down, it *does* have a beartrap. FWIW, that can also date the gun to pre ~ 2001 or post ~2001, respectively.

I'm tell'n ya', Mr. Bruce buy a gallon of Evapo-Rust. It's inexpensive, reusable, 100 percent safe, and will rid that BB gun completely of rust. It's amazing stuff. Make a PVC tube with a end cap to use as a vessel. Pour Evapo-Rust in, then submerge disassembled BB gun and parts. Submerge for 24 hours.
