3:10 - Some thoughts about the orb: if the Aldmeri Dominion has been using the orb throughout the course of this war, then they've likely become accustomed to its advantage. The way they wage war, the strategies they'd come up with, and tactics they'd employ, would all be constructed around the assumption that they have the orb in their possession. If you were to suddenly cut them off from that source of knowledge, then their way of waging war would immediately become obsolete, and their strategists, tacticians, leaders, etc, would suddenly have to adapt to having to wage a war blind, and would have to reallocate all of their resources and reformulate their plans; what's the point of scouting parties, espionage, intercepting couriers, or maintaining a minimal presence in nonessential areas in order to maintain situational awareness, if you have an orb that can give you all of that information immediately from the safety of your own castle? The Imperials on the other hand have been fighting an uphill battle, and have had a lot of practice adapting to what they probably thought was espionage, scouts, etc, without knowing they had the orb. The Aldmeri Dominion would have inadvertently made the empire more resilient to the kind of tactics that they themselves haven't had to employ in the war because of the orb's advantage, so with it gone, that places the Empire at a significant advantage over the Aldmeri Dominion, who now have to start waging war as the Imperials have been doing this entire time. This sudden paradigm shift would put any army at a disadvantage, especially when the enemy has significantly more experience with the traditional method of waging war. I'm sure the Aldmeri Dominion likely had contingency plans, however, such a broad change of tactics across all enemy fronts, the deployment of new troops, and field tacticians having to adapt to such a drastic change in smaller scale, shorter term conflicts (e.g. taking over a small fort or settlement) would still create a very wide opening for the Imperials to strike. It would take plenty of time for the Aldmeri Dominion to regain their footing and re-acclimate to all that traditional warfare implies. Even if both armies were equal in size, with such an overwhelming and sudden advantage, I think it makes perfect sense that the Imperials would manage such a comeback after the Aldmeri Dominion has been knocked completely off-balance. Though that advantage isn't going to last forever, as the Aldmeri Dominion will eventually adapt.

As a still active player I sometimes think if the game wasnt as derivative and tried to be a bit mor unique by say starting at 12 magicka and having a set magicka regen rate to emulate how magicka works in later TES games would have made it different enough to stand out, you get the strategy and resource management of Magick, the simplicity of Hearthstone but a focus on the early turns like Yugioh backed with an iconic series, itnwould have helped if Bethesda actually marketed the game to CCG players instead of Skyrim players too...
@troytab608929 күн бұрын
@@IC-23 If Magicka was set at 12 from the start, they'd have to COMPLETELY rebalance a lot of cards. If we started at 12 Magicka, I could drop Parthuurnax on you right off the bat, and now have three shouts all at 0 cost. If all three of those shouts coincidentally end up being Call Of Valour, then suddenly I have a full board. On turn 1. The reason Magicka starts low is so that the later in the game you are, the more powerful cards you can throw out.

Here's why everyone agrees the Isle Of Madness takes place in the 4th Era: In Isle Of Madness, Talym kills the Gatekeeper. In Oblivion, there is a whole town of people who made their entire town because nobody could get passed the Gatekeeper. If Talym Rend had killed the Gatekeeper before the events of Oblivion, then the people of that town would have rushed through the gates there and then. On top of that, everyone in that town considers the Gatekeeper unbeatable. Even the creator of the Gatekeeper is in shock and horror when you kill it in Oblivion. If Talym had killed it a few years before, she would not be half as shocked. This implies that Talym is doing this AFTER the events of Oblivion, likely fighting the second Gatekeeper we create during Oblivion. This makes a lot more sense, in terms of character reaction. The Shivering Isles DLC of Oblivion is literally the final moments of thr Third Era, so that'd mean Talym Rend's journey takes place in the Fourth Era. Some bits don't quite add up with this, for example the Blades maybe having more influence than they should, and Sheogorath having memories of Jyggalag, but it makes more sense still than the people of that town, and the Gatekeeper's creator, just not noticing Talym kill it.

I played Elder Scrolls Legends from when the open beta went live in 2016 until Bethesda made the baffling decision to build the client from scratch with a new developer and killed their own game. It's a shame; I really loved it. It had the ease and accessibility of Hearthstone with some of the deeper strategy of Magic The Gathering. I wish they'd put some effort into reviving it some day.
@lefteron68044 ай бұрын
I played since the close beta, and while at first the new client had many issues, soon it became better than the old one imo. I liked most of the expansions, with the exception of how unbalanced Invasion was in my opinion. Imo, what really killed the game was the missmanagement of the games marketing.

With the lore of the Great War from Legends + the lore from the Skyrim Civil War from the Skyrim The Adventure Board Game, can we safelly assume Boethiah is the current biggest deadric threat to Tamriel? I mean, he/she tried twice in a relative short period of time to cause chaos, death, and possibly invade Tamriel. And the fact he/she is behind those events never comes to the light of the public, which makes her/him never accountable, specially to the Dunmer that worships her (they probably wouldn't mind anyway since these plots affected nords and imperials mostly).

While the base game is covered in good detail, the other stories have a few of their steps skipped, even some important ones. I suggest making individual videos for the dlcs in order to better preserve the story in its entirety, should the unfortunate shut down of the servers happen one of these years. My favourite icecream is salted caramel.

Skyrim, the first Elder Scrolls game which the on emperor is no longer present which made for a strange bit interesting story, it became where the Elder Scrolls became front and center and there may be many of them to pour over. Until the Aedra and Daedra go into all out war there will still be adventures.

Congratulate you on achieving 100000 subscribers 🎉❤🎉 I know currently you're at 99999. But me jumping the Q. I wanted to be the first. I've been watching for years. You barely had 1200 back then. You were completely different. You're not "The Camel" that one works. and your definitely not a Muppet. Ah Fudge!!! I had a Kermit and Piggy joke I was supposed to say. That one completely missed. Jokes aside I like your videos because you are scholarly about the way you present your information more like a teacher not a storyteller or some higher than thou Lord Beard trying to gate keep. I can't wait until ES6 release date. Sometime in November 2032 and what you have in store for us. And Camel I can't wait to go from location to location with you. And the "Muppets of Fudge" this is my humble opinion but please retire. Drew is just better.
