I can so relate to your earlier self Especially the shiness and being yourself. I'm currently trying to work on it but it's very hard for me. I'm always afraid of the reactions of basically everyone around me, when I state my real opinions or am myself. I'm gonna get bad reactions by certain people if I do that or lose their respect, so I don't know what to do.

I can relate so much, especially the shyness and being afraid of other people's opinions. Just like you, I used to never say a thing in class, because I was afraid that I would be judged if I did. This only resulted in some... miserable school years. There's still a long way to go, but this year, I finally decided to take little steps towards becoming my true self, who is not afraid of people's judgements and is focused on his own goals in life.
