I feel the same way, but after watching JD's interviews with the press over the past few weeks, I can see why Vivek, along with Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson, endorsed him so strongly. JD is right up there with Vivek in his ability to dissect and expose fake news in these interviews while articulating his stance and policies in a direct and succinct manner.

Well the truth be told, the older heartland Republicans and Christian conservatives are still skeptical about having a dark skinned Hindu in the Oval Office. Also, he is literally hated and feared by the DC and NYC establishments and their media mobsters. Media universally and deliberately ignored Vivek among the top 8 or 10 VP contenders. Finally, he may be admired for his brilliance by Trump but is too independent and argumentative - they would have publicly clashed over issues. It's all strategy, you can't have a VP that outshines the President. Much more advantageous for Vivek to be in Trump's cabinet and then have trump set him up for a 2028 victory.

You can’t even compare JD changing his opinion on Trump to Kamila copying Trumps policies and pretending like she’s not a radical left. JDs entire policies haven’t changed; he just once thought Trump would do a bad job executing them but Trump proved him wrong
