is it true that you are only allowed to get in 3 hrs before flight?

Yes, you’re only allowed to access the terminal 3 hours before your flight. HOWEVER, if you have a longer layover and you’re already in that terminal, they’ll let you in a lot of times.

@@TheScarabelliWayI don’t think that’s true. I fly in and out of Denver 3-4 times a month and am regularly there 4-5 hours before my flight because of timing with work schedule and another coworker who travels as well, I’ve never been denied early access to the terminal. I have had some airlines not let you check in early if you’re checking bags but that hasn’t happened to me in a very long time since I don’t travel with more than a backpack and just check in on my app 24 hours ahead of time.
