Why you did not continue scans to fill that missed parts? Did software just goes out of sync and you was unable to complete the scans?

I'd probably figure out a way to attach that to a Camera Jig for more accurate scans also an acrylic rotation stand might help with the bottom.

Ciao Daniele, certamente è un bel "giocattolo", sarebbe interessante se realizzi un video nel quale effettui una scansione di un oggetto, un particolare meccanico, quindi con il modello 3D dello stesso, magari apportando una piccola modifica, di seguito lo stampi con una delle tue stampanti per vedere la fattibilità di un processo di modifica e ricostruzione di un particolare meccanico tipo un ingranaggio o simile. Si, ottima come idea, purtroppo sono una pippa con i programmi di grafica 3D. Conosco solo Fusion 360, ma per questo tipo di grafica è sicuramente meglio blender

Cool! Does it need necessarily a black basis? What about the black items? Or, it just needs a high contrast between the item and its basis?

It doesn´t only scan black items, it scans items of all colors and though the more reflective surface or color you´ll have the worse quality the scan will be. EDIT: Sorry i misunderstood. To answer your question. No. it can lso be white and other colors, but be careful with your color choice cause it can mix with the object scan.

I believe you could then turn the scan into an STL and then 3d print it. Or use the scan in 3d modeling, animation, game design, etc

Does anyone know how to effectively transfer for mobile scan to pc. I have a Revopoint Range that lets me transfer from mobile app to pc. The Ferret has where you can send save scan files via email or shared drive. Most of the time I try to send file by email with rarely work.
