Fantastic teamwork and coordination between the drivers. I am quite amazed that vehicles this wide and long are able to traverse urban roads, especially as councils seem to make lanes narrower, turns tighter and add such nightmares as chicanes to so many roads.

Always fun to watch- we like to see houses being shifted here in New Zealand- not so heavy, but the trailers are amazing with their hydraulics to raise the bed and shift it sideways for manoeuvring round corners and over rough ground. Our own 1920 house was moved that way, cut in two first- others are cut into three or more sections and realigned.

The average weight of the stones in the Great Pyramid was 2.5 tonnes. NOT over 1,400 tonnes! Also, loads of over 3,000 tonnes are moved by road on occasions, this was relatively light. As for lifting, the modern worlds largest crane can lift exactly 30,000Tonnes. :)

I wonder why they did not go the correct way around the roundabout or used the network rail to transfer it. As our roads in uk was not built to carry heavy stuff like this. I not even surprised after this been through the drains etc which was under the these lorries break and collapse because too much weight was put on them
@stevencaws70393 ай бұрын
Much to far out of gauge to go by rail. Also so many wheels to spread the load that each wheel does not exert much weight onto drains and manholes etc
@georgepitchley39463 ай бұрын
Whoever surveyed the route didn’t do a very good job, the traffic islands should have been completely removed or at least plated, so not to put so much pressure on the tyres as when bumping up and down them.
