I don't think anyone can explain this better than you sir ,,watching in 2022 ,,, I am shocked how perfectly you are making these sounds offcourse you are native ,, like I am shocked after watching a magic trick infront of my eyes ,, something performed so beautifully , perfectly and comfortably.❣️

You are such a professional. Your tutorials are so much different and better from others, obviously made by amateurs who probably think "English is my mother tongue, let me teach pronunciation though I don't know how, so just listen and repeat after me".))) That's not working. I learned so much from you! Thanks Michael. My dream is to reduce accent with a teacher like you. But can't afford it yet.

thank you very much! I also like to compare it with the situation when your doctor asks to open your mouth. So the sound /æ/ when you open it widly and you show your throat to the doctor so he/she would be abale to see it clearly. And if this is about the sound /ʌ/ you open your moth, but you hide your throat behind your tongue (you don't show throat)

As a non-native english speaker, who has lived in the south of England for ~10 years, it's pretty clear that English has the oddity that is EXTREMELY rich in the usage of vowels in ways that other languages don't even have (e.g. most "a" sounds being similar or it just doesn't matter which version you make) and at the same time English lacks some consonant sounds.

Hey Sam, did you see the video I published yesterday on Prince Harry's English - Apart from a few examples where he now uses American pronunciation, his English is a great example of Modern RP - and I highlight how you can do the same in the video. Tell me one think does google translate or google speech uderstand native English speakers or no? I I spent 3 days of training with these /\ sound but it doesn't understand me. It understands when I say cub or cut but when I pronounce bud or crust it doesn't. When I say crust it translates as craft. Bud - bad or but. I'm so tired, I have no problems with æ and ä sounds but /\ just kills me. Also when I pronounce luck it says lock.
