I don’t worry about bed bugs either. If I have ever have a bed bug problem in the future, I’ll just deal with it. And I’ve read that they don’t discriminate. They can just as easily show up in a Ritz Carlton hotel room as a Motel 6 room.

What you should do every time you get to a new hotel room is lift the mattress and use the flashlight on your mobile to check if you see any bedbugs. It is important that the light in the room is off. You really have to be careful because if you happen to bring bed bugs home with you, they are almost impossible to get rid of. Super important to keep the bags closed! We must all contribute to stopping their spread around the world.🐜

Pillow. Kacey; I know the kink neck feeling with most Hotel Pillows - so what I did in Detroit's Doubletree was to take an extra towel roll it into a 'flat-like' pillow just enough to keep my head + 2 inches above the mattress plain. Slept & felt good (no neck pain) the next day(s)

What do flight attendants do on sits at their home airport vs a sit at a non-home base airport? Like do you go to a crew room? Is it open to all flight attendants? Can you read? Be on a computer? I feel like I never see crew waiting in airports. I see them walking to a flight or exit. But what happens in between? I remember you used to show us what your reserve standby days were like. Just wondering what a sit is like!❤

I stayed at a hotel & all of the pillows on the bed were feather….I’m allergic to feathers, also I can’t understand why people want to be stabbed by the ends of feathers while they sleep but people love them, so 🤷‍♀️. I rolled up a hoodie and used that as a pillow

Bed bugs are on the rise with climate change. Not convinced the spray would work anyway, stuff like essential oils or insect repellent doesn't get rid of them. I've heard steaming is the best. But they're extremely hard to get rid of - fumigation of entire apartment/house required! They get into tiny cracks and crevices. In the UK it can cost thousands. But guess you could keep clothes in sealed plastic bags, then ones you've worn immediately wash and tumbledry on hot when you get home. And try and keep suitcases away from beds/sofas.

being a former housekeeper.. bedbugs came up from time to time, but since rooms are cleaned and looked at everyday, catching it is usually pretty fast, and we take the cleaning and fumigating seriously.

I have to travel with my own pillow plus a fan for white noise otherwise I literally do not sleep. Definitely consider the pillow since you need to sleep so you enjoy your flight time more.
