After coming across a story online, regarding the bad resole on this pair of Allen Edmonds Chelsea boots, we contacted the owner and asked him to send them to us. We remove everything from the previous resole and then refurbish these the correct way.

Your going to laugh at this but my basement flooded (long story),I have a great two floor attached apartment. I took my tenants beautiful shoes to our best shoe cobbler in Colorado Dardano's shoes. I pleaded to them to help me restore the guys shoes... I said I've watched these two guys Trenton and Heath on KZbin restore absolute messes to their original glory! He laughed and said Oh my God we are all watching the same thing on You Tube! There were 6 people in line 4 people raised their hands and said I watch them too we all laughed!

I swear, I was repeating "Oh My God" the ENTIRE time watching this. I am so very confused. I know the two of you are EXCELLENT cobblers. Not everyone is, and we shouldn't expect everyone to have your level of skill, its just not realistic. That said, HOW did this cobbler pass this off as his job? Me, as a person who doesn't even own any really nice shoes, would NEVER accept that level of shotty workmanship. He (previous cobbler) actually charged a customer for this? He allowed this product of his labor to leave his establishment? Im dumbfounded. Damn. He actually charged someone for this. Stunned. Absolutely stunned.
@maxnoerenberg6370
@maxnoerenberg6370 3 жыл бұрын
I can also believe it also depends what the customer wanted, how much he was willing to pay or when the job should be finished. A cobbler in a big city has lots of customers and has to spread his time wisely...and when the customer wanted the shoes back real fast or wanted to pay a certain price ...then the cobbler cant do a real thorough job. And then of course there are those cobblers that are just crooks!
@TrentonHeath

Thank you very much! We believe that if you’re working on a cheap pair of shoes or expensive pair, your work should be excellent and not shoddy. If a craftsman of ant trade turns out an inferior job, they are telling the world what they’re made of.

I know it would be pretty tough to do but, it would be cool to see the reactions of the customers when they get their shoes or boots back. Especially the overhaul stuff, great video as always 👍 thanks for sharing!

Adam Booth sent me here. I am recovering from Covid-19 plus binge watching and a new subscriber. Your skill sets are truly amazing. I am a cabinet maker and a machinist and I find your videos very informative. Thank you. I raise my Miller High Life for a job well done.

This video makes me miss my old boots from my teen years in England. In the North east we called these "Riders" We used to fill them with hobnails and segs so they made a hell of a racket on the slate pavement! Great job!

Being a mechanic of 40+ years im always surprised by some of the butcher jobs that come into our shop that other techs have done to a good paying customer. We always go out of our way to try and give them a better taste of mechanic's. Its nice to see you guys do that as we. Love seeing you guys restoring shoes and giving new life to them. Keep up the good work.

Possibly the other cobbler was a beginner and didn't have a good mentor to teach him. Very nice work you brothers do.

Very possible. I suggest to new cobblers that they perfect their work by learning from a skilled cobbler.

The best cobblers. I would also say best shoe prom on the net. Love the old school corking and great artistic attention to detail. When I lived in Villanova, I used to use a boot maker in Ardmore, little old Italian guy, who has since passed, but you guys would have put even him to shame. I have had many similar bad experiences in poor workmanship here in TN for 25 years, you two have restored my long standing quest for quality workmanship.

Watching you all and Tring, it became immediately apparent how bad that initial job was. Nice work.
