Jill, as feedback please learn to manage the camera the speed is too fast and I couldn’t see what you wanted to explore. Having said that I enjoyed going along with you.

Which part of the video exactly you couldn't see? This video is 3 years old & from what I recall, I was in the Pelican Village area, as seen in the video, went to a store there, got an outfit, then went over to the nearby market and got some fruits and finally bought some food from that area as well.

Cindy Windy well I'm from barbados and a lot of locals actually grow from scratch naturally (no chemicals just rain water and sun) at home. I have in my yard growing Limes, plenty plantain and banana trees, bonavis beans, pomegranate tree, okra, spinach, Karela/bitter gourd, soursop, sugar apple, aloe, guava. Some people have coconut trees in they yard growing, breadfruit trees all around, sweet potato, cassava, yam, Edoes etc etc etc. We love seafood, flying fish, sea egg, mahimahi, salted cod, reef fish and so much more....our national dish is coucou (cornmeal, okra and okra water cooked together and flying fish, or any fish of choice, my grandmother said it used to be a fish known as yellow coat. Another delicacy which you find bajan eating every Saturday is pudding and souse...pudding (raw sweet potato, onion, black pepper and other herbs grated and baked) souse ( cooked and pickled chicken feet or pig/pork ear, tongue, foot etc ) pickle is made from grated cucumber, lime and Scotch bonnet pepper, also added is pickled breadfruit ......

Im here first day Barbados! Can you be my guide?
@LifeWithJill6 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s great! Don’t really think you’ll need a guide for here tbh. It’s not too difficult to find places and to get around in Barbados. All that’s needed for travel is $2.00 for a Zr van, and the drivers of the vans are very helpful! Hope you enjoy Barbados! 🙂
