A lot of these older beatbox videos tend to have really cool concepts/ideas, but quickly becomes lost into obscurity; meaning these ideas aren't really expanded upon. With how high the skill floor and maturity of beatbox has become, revamping these older techniques can certainly go a long way
@rneffects6578Күн бұрын
Beatbox was definitely more unique and divers before, the level upgraded but the originality is dying. meta are ruining creativity it seems, that's why we need to support beatboxer like chrytix wing osis kaji dropical ext.. because they bring something original and unique to the scene
@RuLo0803Күн бұрын
@@rneffects6578 I don't think the meta is the responsible of "killing creativity", as that's something that existed in the past as well but no one had complained about a lack of originality back then. I think that beatbox is just more popular these days and that translates in the increase of beatboxers, and obviously not everyone is inherently unique. What I mean is that, ,obviously, the more beatboxers there are, the more "repetitive" styles you'll meet, just because of the quantity that you hear from. I don't know if this made sense as I'm not an english native speaker.
@rneffects6578Күн бұрын
@ Yeah it totaly get your point, your probably right
@winterfeld2458Күн бұрын
@@RuLo0803 YES! Great Take. And I think the rise of battles as the main stage of beatbox multiplied how much beatboxers are comparing themselves to others and try to be "better". So If some new crazy Sound drops many battlers start practicing it right away to win the next competition. Just do your thing Guys!

Some beatbox performances blow my mind because they sound impossible-like actual instruments or effects you’d hear in a studio. But other times, even at a high level, it just feels like someone making noises with their mouth. No hate at all-I can see why those performances amaze others, but for some reason, they don’t hit me the same way. It’s weird because I know how talented these beatboxers are, but I guess I still hear that “human” sound in some performances. Like with this one-I really enjoyed the beat, flow, and timing, but it didn’t fully take me to that “wow, how is this even real?” place. Does anyone else ever feel this way, or am I just a weirdo here? Why do you think I feel like this? Im a pretty regular fan of beatbox. i watch videos every week but im not like a super fan
@bluquhКүн бұрын
It can be aspects which you like or dislike. For this I really dig the first few intervals of the bass but you clearly here it is not refined. I can't connect to all the complexe fillers and "spamming" of sounds which rightfully is very technically but just doesn't sound enjoyable to me. And that is fine, not everyone is into free jazz even though it is probably one of the harder ways to jam together as musicians. To each their own and I am happy that we are in a beatbox world where we can identify musicians who produce music we like, and ones we don't. For me I just know I like more musical style beatboxing like hiss, wing, river, Taras and the likes
@rneffects6578Күн бұрын
It’s more of a beatbox circle-jerk thing. When you’ve been in the scene for a long time and started beatboxing yourself, the things you find impressive are very different from what you used to like because you actually understand the art better. For example, when people first start listening to beatboxing, they tend to love performers like Berywam, Spencer X, taras stanin or other beatboxers who do covers and create impressive sounds. But as you listen more and start to understand the complexity behind it, you begin to appreciate more intricate and abstract styles from artists like Colaps, exalos, Mr. Androide, ABX, and so on
