Regarding 'Dented Doris' . I quite like the cut of her jib although the turn of her ankle might put one off at first glance. Anyway I decided to pop into my insurance broker to get a quote for my potential purchase of Doris . I carefully described the vehicle to him and he nearly choked on his Big Mac and knocked over his diet Coke onto his laptop's keyboard. I concluded this was an omen and possibly a bad vibe as he shouted 'C..t" as I was leaving his office. Another dream shattered as I realised she could never be mine.

I have always loved a rover my dad had an sd1 when I was a kid. Last year I bought a 45gsi 1.6 it was fun until I took the side skirt off and saw I had no sill left . So after taking the locking wheel nut key and the alloys off I had to scrap her . Feeling a bit upset about this I went looking for a nice example and today I found a lovely x reg 25 1.4 . 1 owner from new a book full of service stamps going up to a year ago . No rust at all no dents or damage just a leaky rocker cover and the fan speed not working on 1 and 2 it has only done 34.000 miles and I got it for £475

Clean the drain tubes from the sunroof, that may sort the leak out. Curtain wire is the best tool. You know what the auld wans used to hang their net curtains with.😂

Well i have to say Mustard when buying a cheap car dents (up to a point ) have never put me off . However what the underside is like plays a big part weather i buy it or not . This car is definitely a good buy for some one . Driving and running as well as it does . I saw a h reg rover 800 earlier for 500 quid , it was a non runnner with electrical gremlins .

Why would you batter a car? A Mars Bar or a sausage I get, but to batter a car seems a difficult exercise for little gain.

​@@JC-hu1wdhe probably wants it for next to nothing 😢 Just bought an old car for a learner driver and spent weeks until I found a half decent fiat panda for €1200 euro here in Ireland. 99% of stuff on sale would have been sent to the scrap yard years ago before old cars started to be priced ridiculously.

£650 is the price that it can go no lower than. It's a bargain, and I should have said £750.

Best of fortune with the sale, I think it is a good price. There is certainly something to be said for driving an already battered car that you don't have to worry about! That has pretty much always been my mantra! I must say that's a jolly good repair on the wheelarch hole😃 For prevention of muddy footprints might I suggest 'nother piece of cardboard! 😁 (carpet would do just as well of course!)
