Thx for testing and posting the info about this amp. I'm a poor so instead of jp95 I bought a Recoil 1800.5. Right now they are less than $200 on amazon and have a bit more power. So far I'm happy with the Recoil.

I also got a Recoil 1800.5 a few months ago, mostly because of prime next-day delivery as my old amp was cooked, and so far I like it just fine. I find it quite funny that my DSP is worth more than the amp, but I clamped that Recoil at 1300w to my two 12s and it barely gets warm. Crazy how affordable these things have become.

I have one if these installed in a 14 scion tc with two kicker comp r 12's and 4 6.5" hexicones. The hexicones are 8 ohms each and the 4 channel portion is bridged to them. The clarity and sq us just outstanding and the subs slam.

Not bad, bout what I would expect, maybe better. We'll see how mine sounds next week. Probably sound better if my mirror kit and leds come in at the same time😅 I found out why my 90s T-bird doesn't sound like ass from the factory, they shockingly put a bunch of butyl deadner on the floor pans, so my doors aren't necessarily great, the noise floor was just lower. Shockingly well built car aside from dash plastics.

Excellent video, AGAIN! I used one of these, the newer 95t, and the sub output is what impressed me! I liked it better than the d4s jp8, and jp13. ( As a reference I use the mosconi pro430/410 for highs, mids, and tweeters.) The hiss was noticeable, active on my tweeters. Still a very GOOD Value, and if someone runs this amp passive to their components, I bet the hiss isn't there, depending on the quality of the components. How does the titanium look in person? Ty👍🏼👍🏼

I love the titanium colour in general🥰 It's not bland as black, not standing out as the coloured ones and looks better than normal silver.

Excellent video as always! In the Honda Jazz project, you put the sub enclosure in the spare wheel well. I have a 2010 Mazda 6 station, and I'm planning to do something similar, only I have two subs. What, in your opinion would be best? Mount the subs next to each other parallel to the rear of of the car and as far back as possible or parallel to the sides of the car, one in front of the other. My thinking is that the latter option would be better because, it may help with cancellations. What's your thoughts on this?

@RAW-Cat different amps, very similar graphs. Is this because they come out the same build house? Maybe different mosfets or different caps? I’d like your insight. Thanks.
@RAW-CAt2 ай бұрын
Most likely. The output will be limited by the power supply mostly, so with the 810 having 8 channels, the power supply is loaded more than on this one, maybe that's why this does more power🤷 But looks to be the same design and most likely same parts. This is how you offer a lot of power for a competitive price.

I think someone should make some 7 channel amps; tweeters, mid-range, mid-bass, woofer. Integrated DSP would be good also. I know Helix have the V8, however that’s no good for the woofer 😢

hi, how do you find the sound of these d4s since you have some installed for some time? warmer like a zapco or genesis etc.or more analitical/surgical like a Helix or class D? For example i've had the Crunch GTX 4800 brand new for a couple of days and had a very pleasant sound and full and bass was full (that's even mentioned on hifi magazine) even tho is kind of budget amp. My helixes are much more analytical and almost i don't like them :)
@RAW-CAt2 ай бұрын
They definitely don't sound warm. More clinical as they are very clean THD wise. Noise is what "kills" them for SQ.

@RAW-CAt2 ай бұрын
Definitely worth the money. They are NOT SQ amps. Loads of power for midbass and subs. Buy the correct gear for the purpose. Every amp can be blown.. We all know that people buy them after watching Big D amp dynos and abuse them to death...and then complain when a 900W rated amp blows pushing way over 1k just because id dynoes that🤦

If it is made correctly and has a good protection ( doubt it ) it should not work when you blow any channel. Also one PSU can have influence on second so this should be tested.
@RAW-CAt2 ай бұрын
That is a fair point about the protection. I would like to test it all channels loaded, however my test setup is not designed for that.. however from my previous tests loading all channels vs only one (same as loading one power supply vs both) will have differences in an order of measurement error.
@kiklop83622 ай бұрын
@@RAW-CAt Yeah the main impact will be probably in power output if it is done correctly and again..... :)

I have a question.you mentioned how the damping factor at 50 isn't bad, but i have amps with damping factors from 300 to 1100 @ 4 ohms . Now, i know damping factors aren't everything, but if I remember correctly. The higher the sample rate, the tighter the bass would be so, does the mean at a damping factor of 50 means that the subwoofer is less controlled?
@RAW-CAt2 ай бұрын
Based on my measurements damping factor has zero influence on the bass. At least anything above 20 or so.
