For me drums sounds like it in air, so or low frequencies of kick are missing or base is missing, or maybe both. I think you can add additional kick on top of regular kick. But! If you like feel of drums in air you can ignore this comment (or delete it idk) in the end it's your vision.

this is fantastic the quick drums are captivating as hell any tips on where to get sounds that are at least somewhat more interesting than the fl studio instruments? i’ve downloaded plenty of free shit but most of it sounds pretty standard so i’ve just been cutting up free samples that producers release LMAO

yeah, I get it lol I just find different sound fonts with actual music instruments, but you can really make your own synth by messing around with 3x Osc or FLEX. you can start off by looking up Touhou or Default midi's. I'm pretty sure there is a whole website dedicated to finding sound fonts, but I can't remember it off the top of my head. p.s. if you want a fast-pace drum loop like mine, search up amen breaks here on youtube or looperman.com
