The discussion in this video was not intended to debate on the topic of raw feeding, it was intended to help pet owners optimize the nutrition of their pets kibble. I feed both raw and home cooked diets, however I met with a certified pet nutritionist that helped me ensure my diets are properly balanced. Please do your research and speak with a nutritionist if you're interested in making the switch ❤

Exercise is also an issue. A dog that doesn’t move & has dry kibble sitting out all day will have no appetite, even if they drink enough to keep them regular- hardly surprising!
@GotAnUmbrella2 жыл бұрын
Everyone I know that says that just leave food down too long. Then the dogs come to my house and they get designated time to eat and that's it and the next day we basically have a clean plate. For those that are a tiny bit slow, I add a dollop of wet food and it's solved no matter what. I have a dog that's a difficult eater at home that gets fresh dog food and he eats so well at my house without any change besides a schedule. *edit: it's my friend's dog, not mine that's a difficult eater! As a Michigander born and bred, I have an explanation: it's literally just a couple hours drive from Detroit to the bridge. If he left early enough, the whole trip probably only would've taken two days. I've gone from Grand Rapids in the Mitten to Marquette in the UP in a day. I know folks who've gone to Mackinac Island to grab some fudge and then turned right around and come home. Canada's a day trip for the majority of Michigan.

I have been cooking my pets food for a very long time. I do not cook the food on High heat - that is NOT good for them or us. My dad at some point in my childhood got into the habit of mixing the kibble with whatever leftovers we had in the fridge and some water or sauce of some sort. For example, the off cuts of roast beef with gravy, or leftover chicken breast with some soy sauce, or yoghurt with fruit in the morning. He used to always get crap from family friends for "spoiling" the dogs, but I found they loved the variety and it was a good way to use everything up. It has become a family tradition and I'm glad pet parents everywhere are starting to appreciate that dogs deserve it!

I've had both. Honestly liked the pom better. Just make sure your keeping a close eye if you get the pom. The one I got wasnt trained very well by the time I got her and couldnt undo her bad habits..snapping when paws and mouth touched even when at the vet..I was able to get her professionally groomed thoughbarking at every dog and human she saw on our walks..she hated other dogs but loved humans..if I wasnt paying attention she would lunge for and eat the poop she saw on our walks even on a leash she was super fast and I couldnt stop her. If I was laying down,she would always try to lick me on the lips..I didnt mind her licking my face but lips are a no go. Not sure why but her poop always got stuck and or would end up in her tail so I did have to give her a lot of baths..having said all the above I loved her a lot. I was able to get her potty trained in a new environment and able to teach her a few tricks that she caught onto very quickly lots of other great things just be aware poms can be extremely stubborn..and extremely hard to untrain bad habits. Also make sure to use a harness not a collar when walking due to the health issues this breed can have

For example, the one my dog is on has added joint support because it's meant for working dogs, it also has shellfish and salmon oil for coat. Both his coat and digestion have never been better, he has enough energy for any activity he's doing and he absolutely loves the taste - I can even use it as a high value reward.

Amazing how quiet both dogs were during their groom. Alfie serenade during the Pomeranian's groom was hilarious! 😂 It made me smile 😀
