I made the mistake of watching the Planetarian anime RIGHT AFTER finishing the visual novel. And while I agree that the anime is a servable adaptation, I think watching a (slightly) diluted versaion of the emotional story I was still reeling from less than a day after finishing it made me like the anime less then I should have. The recap/sequel movie was fantastic though- I definitely wanna go back and re-watch that at some point.

You asked if we seen the VN , OVA or Movie ... 1. watched the OVA Series ( don´t ask where I found it ;) ) 2. found the VN at an Steamsale and buy the Bundle from Planetarian and Planetarian HD 3. found a ?spain? Dub Version from the Movie on KZbin ( I don´t understand more then 10 words from it, but it was so beautiful to skip). Later I found an english Sub Version too 4. STILL WAITING FOR AN GERMAN SYNCHRONISATION !!! KEY !!?? WHY !?!?! :-(

Some other little things like when MC says "I don't remember the last time I cried." in the vn but in the anime he says something like "I didn't have to think about it at the time." Maybe they didn't want the anime to be as realistic/gritty as the vn which also has MC telling us how a group of 10 year olds got mowed down by a mech. I watched the 15 min anime after the VN and it seemed very rushed in comparison. The scene at the end didn't have nearly as much of an emotional impact either. Probably because I was given far less time to get to know/become invested in the characters. Haven't watched the movie.
