No prob! Tougher with leather tag only/GH bags. Not as much indicator, other than the composition of the leather might give some clue - or definitely the color. (Since specific colors were only produced in specific seasons.) If it is black though, since that is made every season... I don't think there is a way to 100% know for sure. If it is a color, you can find out by figuring out what season that color was made. HTH!

It takes a bit more time to learn than other's, I totally agree to that, it makes more sense once you figure out the menu - but you can search by designer. Go to the left side of the screen & hover over (if you're on a laptop or regular computer) the menu choice that says "Designer Accessories" this will bring a drop down list of a number of designers up. Balenciaga is at the top, and Louis Vuitton is in the middle somewhere. (You can tell I browse consignment sites for fun way too much, lol!!)

Great review! Neiman marcus online has some from holiday collection that is chèvre leather, really gorgeous! Few colors but another great feature is regular hardware is gold instead of brass! And there is also one with silver hardware (also regular hardware).

Chèvre = goatskin, Ageanu = lambskin... in some cases the difference is not huge, they are both soft, pliable leathers that allow the bag to be flexible. They both age well in most instances, or "get better with time". Chevre seems to be more popular w/ bbag collectors though because it is a slightly more specific leather that has a certain feel and also seemed to take the dye better too. Chevre bags seem to be more saturated or vivid. Those new to the brand may not notice a difference. HTH! :)

To my knowledge, yes - I've met the owner at a authentic designer handbag meet up a number of years ago and she was extremely nice. I was able to hear about their extensive process for authenticating items they consign, etc. I've never heard of someone having a bad experience there to date, and the site is decently well known within a little niche community of authentic designer handbag enthusiasts, I believe. HTH!

I am aware of them, but have heard of some unfortunate things about their customer service recently - and have also had a less than positive experience myself with them in the past. (A bag being described as better condition than it actually turned out to be when I received it.) So I haven't done business with them since then, and although I don't want to go out of my way to put anything negative out there - intentionally left them out for that reason. They do sell authentic though.

Im looking at a pre-loved bag, everything seems dead on with the exception that the back of the inside tag has MADE IN ITALY in upper case not lower case. It is a 2012 City in Latte with regular hardware. I wonder if this means its definitely a fake? Thanks a lot!

During 2011, they changed the "Made in Italy" imprint on the back of the tag from all LOWER case to all UPPER case... so you're fine on that point. :) For 2012, it would be upper. Hope that helps!

Well, all leather on bbags should be "smoothy" to some extent, since its just the nature of the leather - but the newer bags do have a durable, sometimes more "textured than veiny" agneau leather... really the only way to describe the difference is to feel both side by side. I haven't heard any negative things about 2011 leather, I think the newer leathers are fairly hardy (well, comparatively to the old ones) from what I hear? Hope that helps!

Bags previous to 2008 did actually have extra tassels included. (That came wrapped in a clear plastic.) 115748 is for the city, the year would be the alpha code on the silver tag that should be on the front. HTH!
