Monogram & Damier are both coated canvas with leather trim - multicolor is a leather that is screen printed. So the sealant is different between the coated canvas styles & the MC, which is what makes the MC more prone to chipping? (Apparently??) I haven't had problems with my MC styles knock on wood... but I was aware it could happen, so I just try to stay mindful of it. HTH! Thanks for watching!

Hi Linda! Yes, the older Epi items have gold hardware - they didn't start silver hardware until mid/late 2000s (so around when Grenade & Cassis came out in 07-ish)... prior to that gold was only available, so an early 2000s bag would have gold hardware. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

So tough... They are both great bags with kids and it depends on whether you're wanting more of a purse - or more of a tote. The palermo feels like a purse and the totally is more of a tote and feels more casual. They both are great for kids, the Palermo for shopping - and the Totally for travel or play dates. I like them both, with possibly the Palermo just a bit more because it feels like it has more style. GL choosing! :)

Hi you mentioned denim marks on your Palermo - I got bad bue marks on my solonge trim because it rubs on my hip/thigh and I got them out by dabbing milk on the area until all the blue lifts and then user a damp cloth to remove milk reside and then use a care kit to protect. It really works and was recommended by my louis as, hope this helps!

For example with lv wallets that are for instance multicolor I know the outside is canvas with silk screen print but is the lining on the inside leather? My SA told me it is but I just wanted to make sure

Very helpful video. I received my first ever Louis Vuitton bag and it was the alma pm epi in indigo and I love it! I have a question the damier ebeene (I'm not sure how to spell it) do the handles patina like the LV speedy monogram would? I love the LV monogram for the speedy but I'm not to sure if I want to purchase it cause it would patina.

Damier Ebene doesn't patina like the vachetta does - it relatively stays the same color and appearance with regular use. DE is the best choice to go with if you don't really like the patina look. Hope that helps! :)

Yes, the inside of the MC is leather, in fact the outside is leather as well that is screen printed - which is why they are a bit more expensive than the coated canvas items. HTH! :)

Hi! Love this video!! I have a question for you, Do you know if there is a difference between the golden tone hardwares? I.e. "brass" vs. "gold".. or are all of the shiny golden hardwares found on the multicolor pieces simply brass as well?

And the leather isn't split all the way through, it is kind of hard to explain... it is like the top thin layer just peeled back or something... kind of like (sorry if this is too graphic) if your fingernail peels? That kind of idea, the top layer kind of just peeled off in a triangle shape in one area, it is possible I brushed up against something when I was traveling. Who knows. ;) HTH!

Still have it! ;) It is useable and I haven't taken it to the store or anything, it is more annoying to me than anything. The SAs at the stores here seem more snooty than the ones in MI, who were always friendly and pleasant. I may take it in some time in MI after we move back there, but it will be well over the 2 year since I purchased at that point, so I am just going to use it and not worry about it. I don't like when things are less than perfect, but I need to let it go on this one. ;)

Hi there vacchetta is actually Italian - vacca (pronounced just as you probably naturally want to since Italian is easier to pronounce for English speakers than French, the "cc" is a "k" sound like in "loca") means cow, vacchetta (pronounced with the same "k") is "little cow" literally (calf).

Trim leather depends on what type of material the main part of the bag is made of - monogram & damier azur both have vachetta (tan trim) and daimer ebene has dark brown leather trim. HTH!

Sorry. Mis-read, lol!! Tag. The tags are a new thing, bags made in the USA as of 2012-ish have a cloth tag instead of a leather tag. The other countries still use a leather tag - and previous years have a leather tag. All bags have a date code, that is either imprinted directly into the bag some place or onto a small tag like area. Hope the answer to your question is in there some where - as I wasn't really sure which tag (date code or Made in) you were referring to. Thanks!

Malleries is just a bunch of individual sellers like eBay, from what I understand... I would treat it the same as eBay and not purchase anything with a lot of additional authentication. I've never purchased anything there and don't really ever go there to browse either, so I'm not a good judge on the site. Sorry!
