I know NYCC is coming up very soon. So my main tip is bring light snacks and a water bottle. To be honest you don’t get SUPER hungry until you get home/ back to the hotel from the con. The adrenaline just keeps you going. On the chance you do get hungry (I did last year) bring nutrigrain bars or other protein bars since they’re higher calorie and protein. You do A LOT of walking around and will get a crap ton of stuff so bring a book bag. If you are cosplaying then you could try and find a bag that would look good with your cosplay. I always just bring my school one since it’s huge, light, and neutral. Something my uncle told me to get for my first con. A foldable camping stool. There are almost never any seats open and if you’re waiting in a long line for a meet or for a certain panel, standing starts to hurt. (I personally don’t use this anymore as I will just sit on the ground if need be) Just stay safe and have fun!

I have a question about tickets. So like if you are purchasing them for someone else, can you put them both under your email or does one ticket go to one persons email and the other ticket goes to the other email? Even though one person is paying for both? Hopefully that wasn’t too stupid. Also, are there seats or do we just walk around the entire time unless we are looking for a specific panel? I’m looking to get general admissions tickets so idk what that really entails and this will be my first con. Thanks to whoever can answer this for me! ☺️

I expected there to be better deals on books but my experience was that I could still find them cheaper online. My favorite aspect ended up being the creator panels. Comfortable attire/shoes. Backpack with water. Best advise is that CON is a multi day event, spread out the Con experience so you don't wear yourself out.

I do a lap around before buying anything cause I'm impulsive. bring cash (throwback to 2022 when it coincidentally was when across Canada cards didn't work good thing I had cash!) and when you run out of money, get out of there looking at the ground so you don't get distracted 😂

The smaller cons are my favourites in particular one in a working mans club off broad st in Birmingham. Great atmosphere and I enjoyed seeing the same stallholders time after time. Need to go to more though. I gotta say I super enjoyed this one. Loving the new energy. I see a future in organic priced deodorant.🤔

This kid is very in depth with the con info. Fast forward 3 min from the start. The first 3 min is ramble. Also in San Diego comic con, look for authentic Mexican food. Ask a Mexican that is attending the Con. I’m am Mexican, and we love to let you know our great spots. There are a lot close to the Con ( barrio Logan )

The comic con i want to go to is actually kinda close to where i live and i know its a big place and lots of kinda famouse cosplayers go there also i want to go with my family (not just my parents) and hopefully some friends also I've heard it is amazing also this year the comic con is in October and on the weekend also i will keep some of this in mind but i am hopefully going with my older cousin who has been going to comic cons for years (I've done a lot of research for reasons because i never been to a convention also the comic con I'm taking about is in Virginia/America)

I'm going to my first comic-con in May half term with my younger cousin who's gone to a few before. I'm pretty nervous, 'cause I have no idea where the convention is or what it looks like, since my Mum booked it and hasn't told me anything ;-; (Edit: I checked at it's at the ExCeL centre I think? Either way, I've never been.) Tbh, the funniest part is that I'm going as a character who wears a mask that doesn't seem to have eyeholes (Dimentio from Super Paper Mario for anyone wondering), so if I end up being too lazy to glue some fabric over an eyehole, my cousin will probably have to drag me around so I don't run into a pole or something XD

I haven't been to one but comic cons are meant for all people, even though more enthusiastic to be there that they spent more time than you do working on anything to make their cosplay, and the fact it is valuable people should be more aware and not walk next or close to people with wings or anything pokey. Personal space, shall we go back to the 6ft rule. Im wearing an iron man suit I made with my own hands if you break it by not paying attention to an 8ft suit I won't be so friendly

When I go to conventions in the UK - why am I the only straight heterosexual male there? Why is almost every male homosexual? They walk round in rainbow flags, holding hands and saying "this is my husband/boyfriend". Every single time. I never see a guy with a girlfriend/wife or who is into women. Why are conventions dominated by the gay community? Any ideas?
