Heaven knows what is incredible. As an ex heroin addict that lived in a big city at the time its the most accurate portrayal of not only the lifestyle that addiction demands but perfectly encapsulates the emotions and despair of it all. Not to mention the way the actors portray the characters was so accurate I could’ve sworn I’d met those exact people before on the streets.
@Indietrix5 жыл бұрын
Forrest Richard it’s such a good movie. It’s based off an unpublished memoir by the lead actor, Arielle Holmes; it all comes from lived experience and that very much shows. Glad you found it accurate too.

@ThinkingArtEntertainment5 жыл бұрын
Just watch and study movies by a single director repeatedly. Look for common threads. Filmmakers usually teach themselves a "language", if you will, that they stick to throughout their filmography.
@Indietrix5 жыл бұрын
Thinking Art Entertainment that’s basically it. When making these vids I make notes while watching and keep an eye out for stuff that recurs. I watched these in chronological order and I realised the focus on absurdity was going to be a big thing within five minutes, so noted it down and kept an eye out! BUT- there’s no right way to watch a film. Work out what interests you and follow that. Some people are mad for actors (I’ll watch anything with Vincent Price), some follow genres (I love giallo; Royal Ocean Film Society did a great vid on the beach party genre). Find your own vibe and don’t be hard on yourself!
