The snake posture, one of the 8 animal postures (Ashtavadivu) taken in kalarippayattu that forms the root of the whole art.
The flexibility of the martial artist should be equivalent to that of a snake that comes in and goes out from that same tiny pit.
Practice it for -
Strengthening of glutes, leading to hip and thigh mobility
Stretching the neck, chest, spine, shoulder
Strengthening of core muscles and ankles
And it also Stimulates various organs of the body.

Can u Please Clear my DOUBT : In this video it seems like it is more focussed on right leg rather than left because duration of being in the posture where right leg is in front is more than when left is in front.so do we have to be in it for equal time for both legs.?
