This should be a software product that works with hand held Lidar 3D scanners or Apples Lidar. Then you could scan yourself at home, pick the materials, send the info to a costume suit production line, then they'll make the suit the same way that custom order cars are made. Of course the ultra rich wouldn't be the target market. It would make custom suits affordable for the rest of us

Of course they did not. They are millionaires who totally lost touch to the life usual people have. They rejected so many products because they don't understand needs and markets for (from their perspective) poor people.

Did you miss the part where they explained that a $40,000 a year salary gets the best measurer in the business & therefore the cost of this machine have to be higher because most measurers are cheaper than this machine & faster than this machine in doing an identical job?

@@mehere8038 That only works if you don't intend on being in business for more than a year. Over 10 years that tailor will cost 400K, plus sick leave and holiday. The scanner is a one off cost and doesn't need breaks or holidays and won't call in sick.

Exactly this. I work in the city and if one of these turned up in the lobby of our building, they'd probably get 200 orders at a 500 pound price point. That's hugely cheaper than a West end tailor.

Same reason companies used to pay me to hand dig stuff To get a machine there takes hire and transport costs. Then money to take the digger away and you also need someone to drive it and another guy to watch the machine.
