A Better Way to Boost Instagram Reels (Without Wasting Money)

While it's possible to simply click the 'Boost Post' button in Instagram to boost Instagram Reels, that's certainly not the best way. It's actually not a good option for several reasons. The result is usually a lot of wasted money for very few meaningful results.

I disagree. If you want more Instagram attention, boosting works. If you want more Facebook attention fb ads works. He’s actually over complicating what he’s saying here. I’ve had great luck with IG boosting.

Think you're missing my point - which is pressing the boost button to promote a post on Instagram isn't a good option because it's extremely limited in terms of the options available to you. It's better to use the ads manager to promote post on Instagram (and FB) because you have more flexibility in your setup which allows you to get better results. I don't like relying on "luck" with ads.

i tried this, but the existing post ran as a seperate ad on its own, instead of boosting the views on the video i chose. it didnt increase the views on it. But the same reel ran as a seperate ad video. Facebook reprisentitives dont even know what to do about it. they keep "connecting me to someone else" How can i prevent that from happening?

i'm a year late to this video but my biggest question is how to do this WITHOUT A FB ACCOUNT. I've never had a Facebook account and have no interest in doing so, but I did create an IG for my side business a few years back specifically to try to just get out into the socials. I was able to boost posts here and there without linking to FB. Now I've launched a more dedicated IG for said business and want to boost it up, but apparently today it's not possible at all to boost without FB.

I think it’s the music you select from the library on IG. If you add copyright free music before uploading to Instagram on an app like CapCut or any other app, you should be fine.

Another reason why I don’t use the boost button. If you do as I show in the video and use the ads manager, you can select “use existing post” and select the post with all the likes on it to promote again. Pressing boost again likely created a new dark post with zero likes.
