What's up family? A little tip for DSLR owners; record landscape AND make sure you have enough space to "crop" in post. For example, this video's widest shots can be cropped at his shoulders and then posted to IG. Not a definite solution, but it's something to experiment with

Thanks a lot for tuning in! Each platform is different in terms of algorithm. I'm experiencing the opposite with TikTok and I'm learning the new flow. Check out your highest viewed reel on IG and study why it's performing well. Hopefully you'll find the key elements to mass produce it!

Hello, thank you for your knowledge and insight. What licensing do I need in order to play my instruments on Instagram reels? In the past, I would play my instrument to my favorite artist or to my favorite band and Instagram will flag me for copyright infringement and Instagram would demand that I take the video down. Since then I have been on a standstill trying to figure this out. I see other guitarist and musicians playing to their favorite songs and their favorite artist and I’m trying to figure out how to do this for myself. Please help, much appreciated.

Full vertical videos are really not suited when you play an instrument so I guess the square format was a good compromise for insta.What do you say? You didn't mention tagging other accounts.
