Lex, when and whereever we are part of a group we should leave our egos outside. When I was singing in choirs I was taught not to sing up as hell but to step back, sing calmer, myself in order to be able to listen to all my fellow singing colleagues and then adjust my voice level accordingly. That's how it works. That's how it has to work. Great agreement on your words. ♥

Hi I am a beginner in BitWig essentials, please keep us newbies in your thoughts during commentary as we know very little and need to be given more understanding on the basis of what makes Bitwit stand apart from the others! cheers

Just joined. I've been a Reason user, but I picked up Bitwig about 2 years ago intrigued by the 2 sequencer concept and, since I also DJ, it seems like a great DAW for doing remixes of existing music. However I really haven't warmed up to it. It just seems a bit cryptic. The Reason rack concept has always just made sense to me. Bitwig's more granular approach to doing things has been much harder for me to wrap my head around. It's a cool DAW. I'd really like to get more use out of it.

You're not alone - many people feel the same way when they arrive in Bitwig. Hopefully we help you feel more comfortable with it soon

I bought Bitwig and love watching the videos you and Polarity make about it. However, I still can’t bring myself to use it. Every time I sit down to make music, I consider opening Bitwig, but I always end up working in Ableton instead. I just can’t seem to figure out how to get started and really learn how to use it.

Someone made a post about this and a couple of people have listed some great resources for beginners already. Come join us :)

Strangely, I also have a similar experience, brought a previous version of Bitwig but never committed to using it, opting to continue with the familiarity of Ableton.

Widest, vastest expanse made me smile being a SciFi fan. And then you imply we should ask questions presumably to Elon if we can get him to join, how did he achieve X .. sounds better than Twitter. Now that i said 2 funnys ill get serious and say hey i like your ideas sounds good a different way of framing things. My different way of achieving things is getting rid of a keyboard and mouse for a massive chunk of my bitwig inyeraction by using a stream deck with a pre built though customizable profile.

Oooooh I want to hear more about how you use stream deck with Bitwig! I have one and only use it for video stuff but this definitely appeals to the speed freak in me.
