Was halfway through the video before I recognised your artwork . Have had Heart of Gold pt.1 in rotation for years after it popped up on my discover weekly one week! Proof that your methods work as once Spotify can get the song in front of the right person at the right time it takes on a life of its own.

Thanks for making this video and showing me the process. Straight to the point and I enjoyed watching you getting pissed off at the end 😂 (laughing at the use of expletives that is) My Rekordbox crashed when I was playing about with it on an aeroplane to Madeira and I think it’s deleted my Beatport tracks from my Mac. Thankfully I could download them again from my purchased tracks.

Hi, Mr. Taches, thank you for going back to my question about deep-linking. Sadly the magic link tool brings me to the song page and not to the playlist with an autoplay of the song. I dunno why maybe cuz I don't pay for Spotify. Regardless I put that link into my new campaign.

Hands down the best video tutorial from start to finish on just the basics of running ads for spotify and understanding all the other nonsense needed to make it all work. Cheers! P.S. Although losing your ad in hypeddit totally sucked... it just shows that even if you know what your doing, things still go wrong!

You are an amazing person man, you are providing all this information to help people and doing it for free. Thank you. I have considered starting my own label for a while now and have released music on some big labels like Diynamic with Solomun but I feel like it’s taking a toll on my mental health with having to jump through hoops with labels and label managers who’s tastes change biweekly. One day they love it the next day they pass or it’s a waiting game. I too am a middle aged person who simply cannot be bothered to do these social media theatrics. It’s a young persons game, that being said I do believe in my music and if you put it side by side with most artists it holds its own. One thing I was wondering is how does all this help getting gigs? You’ve had millions of plays but I have to be honest I don’t see any posts of you Djing anywhere, now that could obviously be a personal choice but let’s say someone who wants to be invited to play out once in a while, what would you recommend? Maybe it would be a good topic for another video as I’m sure a lot of people who do produce house or techno would like to play out. Thanks again

Thank you for the support Teddy! Start your own label brother :) In regards to gigs, I used to make most of my money from touring but got pretty burnt out by the nightlife scene. I was playing regularly across the country when I was living in US but now that I live in the jungle (Costa Rica), it's a 4-5 hour drive just to get to the airport now - let alone actually travel to a city to play - so I'm not so much interested in touring anymore unless it's the occasional gig that's too good to pass up; money and experience wise.

Thank you for the response! I can totally understand, I was Djing at ADE this past October and had to play at 4am and I was like its cool to be able to play but I was burnt out and couldn't wait to be back home lol. I wanted to ask if I did start a label, is there something like submit hub for DJs where you can send promos to DJs? Thanks again

Lovely video. I'd like to add that it actually can make a dramatic difference in cost-per-conversion if you have a nice video instead of an image. Over the last couple of years I experimented with meta ads for a project of mine and managed to get the conversion costs down to under 10 cents (long term) with weeks where the cost-per-conversion was around 4-6 cents.

I'm interested to know how you came up with the branding for your album/single covers. You obviously put some thoughts into it given that most of your popular songs are black line art on beige background so I'm wandering how you make them or do you just get someone to make them for you? Alsohow do you come up with the concept for them? Is it that the track or album they are attached to reminds you of that art or or the art work the inspiration for the the track or album?

Can I use my “THIS IS” playlist instead of creating one? I like this list because it already has many saves and Spotify updates it frequently putting my best songs at the top. Or should I create one for best results?

Thanks man, you've shown the process well and everything was superbly articulated! In your opinion, when you spend $100 on ads, does the algorithm put it in front of enough people that if they listen to your advertised tune, you could theoretically make a profit, however small it might be?

Your the first video producer on youtube that has a very fat consistant spotify stream in your chart compared to the others who have the streams go up and down due to promotion. I'm not into house music but I respect it because it can very uplifting if done right and especially over the the top. I am musician producer who does original pop rock'n'roll music in the style of the Beatles and it's very melodic. I have over 300 songs (7 albums) on spotify but haven't promoted it yet so I hardly got no views but I do know what to do when I'm ready to promote. I learned from my youtube experience that the alogorythm has to have a video or several everyday for it to pick it up. After several years my channel hit 80 million views and over 500k subscribers. Spotify is no diffrent in it's alogorythm , it needs to be pumped everyday but heres the key , house music as a whole is very popular and easy to attract streams but melodic music can really explode bigger if it's good and has a good message and the song is really written and recorded well. From my own experience in music history from past radio and even till today is that people want love and if it's over the top it's even better. House music tends to be sexual which is nothing wrong with that but love is more powerful. Thats why the Beatles and groups like them were so succesful. Love is different than sex but combined together can be crazy powerful. I heard your music and even your song "In My Soul" which is very good by the way but it's jazzy sexual so theres a limitation to grab the public. Try putting the love vibe into it more from apop style like the Beatles , Motown , etc that is melodic and watch what happens. You can listen to those old classic songs I mentioned to get it ingrained in you or even my Dan Ban music which is on my youtube channel to see what mean. I just subscibed to you channel and keep up the good work and let me know what you think of my music. Rock on , ha ha !!!

Hi, I am a small artist and I've used submit hub with very little luck. Here's my main issue, LMK your thoughts. My genre is typically dark- i.e. dark pop / alt pop. Every time I get matched to playlisters, a VERY LARGE percentage of them indicate (the little red arrow) that they don't want to receive "dark" tracks. I don't get it. I make dark pop, I submit to playlists of that genre, but then most of them say that they decline "dark" or "moody" tracks- which all of mine are. Any thoughts?

Isn’t it kind a sus that these playlists have all the songs added on the same day? If you look at the tribal one, all of them are added on the 20th of November. Does that mean these are scripted or botted playlists? To pump up the numbers?
