The most frustrating part of managing DMAIC projects is the control of the DMAIC methodology and the management of all projects files:
How can you make sure your Black Belts follow the DMAIC methodology you designed?
How can you make sure they have a project charter in the Define phase?
Will the fishbone diagram be built in the Measure phase;
Will the the root cause analysis be completed in the Analyse phase and so on.
But not only the ‘control’ of a DMAIC project is a typical concern, but equally important is the question “Where do we save the Black Belts project files?”.
Should it be on a personal Black Belt drives? Common drive? SharePoint site?
None of the above options provide an effective way to establish a set of steps for the project team to follow, see what steps have been completed, which documents have been created for which steps and, above all, there is no way to have a overview of the level of execution of your project.
So is there a better way to execute your projects, ensuring your Lean Agents and Black Belts use a set methodology that is the same from project to project? Is there better way of managing and storing LSS project files? Is there a way of linking project templates with specific methodology steps? In short, the answer is yes.
With i-nexus Continuous Improvement solution you can easily manage your DMAIC projects, have all your projects files and templates stored in one collaborative system, replicate best practices and more.
