Great that you found Carnivore. I'm 2.5 years into it. Jan 1, 2025 will be 3 years for me. My problem was Oxalate overload. I got to the point where I could no longer walk. Doctors were of absolutely NO help to me. Carnivore gave me my life back. I can not only walk again but I can run.

I love the simplicity of the carnivore lifestyle. No more endless shopping and prep. Since giving up tea I’m only drinking water now. It was easy to get used to in a few days and it’s cheaper too. Healthy, slim and saving money and time. What’s not to like? 👍

I so agree. I hated gardening and being carnivore has given me back my life!! Abd so much more time not growing TOXIC plants. Good for you buddy. Welcome to the HEALTHY CARNIVORE community. I'm turning 73 in a week and became carnivore at age 71 and it was THE Best thing I EVER did for my health. My goal is to live to 120 plus years and I will be healthy living another 48 years!! No food waste, saves tons of money, cooking time down to 30 minutes or less a day. Plus no joint pain, normal B/P and blood sugar, happy satisfied woman. I love my meat and I want it bloody rare. Bone broth is a treat. It's such a better lifestyle. Not a dan of chicken, love fresh fish and snack on high fat butter. I'll fight you for ALL the fat on my steak. LOL❤❤❤

We are in the same place. For the last 10 years we have been 100% on the homesteading journey, growing our own food. My husband has been carnivore since last year and I’m in the process of getting on it. Now we are going through this weird process of wondering what to do with all of our gardens and such.
@beef4cat4tuna
@beef4cat4tuna 8 күн бұрын
@@ballengerfarmhomestead2772 I've been dividing up my plants or digging up runner babies and auctioning them off on my local fb auction groups. Then I started some of my rare heirloom seeds for the strange and weird edibles and medicinals to auction off to folks whose garden's have lost so many plants this year. In north Oregon, we had hail over father's day weekend. Medicinal herbs like toothache plant, prunella/self heal, Mullein, mugwort, lemon balm, pennyroyal, kapoor tulsi basil... different hybrid herbs like lemonade thyme, orange thyme, lemon thyme, lime thyme, all kinds of basils, ... And the strawberries just produce far too many baby plants. And people bid like crazy for them. So I started Armenian Yard Long Cucumber, tromboncino squash, yard long red beans, scarlet runner beans, more toothache plants, red sun sunflowers. I decided I would put my knowledge into making money until I decide to downsize further. I grow in large pots. I just got $25 for a ghost pepper in a 7 gal pot that has been planted since may 13th. I found free pots at lowes. Occasionally I find 5 & 7 gal pots there. Usually it's 1 gal or smaller.

We are new subscribers. I 2:03 've been carnivore since January 12 2023. My wife started a couple weeks later to support my efforts. I had been searching for alternatives to medication, to ease my knee pain and inflammation. We had been watching homestead channels for a while, and 2 of them had referred to carnivore to help autoimmune issues. This started my journey. I'm an old farm boy who's been working construction for almost 50 years. This diet has improved my health, mobility, sleep, digestion, energy and stamina. The weight loss has been a bonus on top of all else it's done for me. I'm 6'-1" and at my highest weight was 330 some lbs. When I started carnivore, I had been cutting carbs and got down to 306 to 314. Then carnivore started. Currently I'm at 207, and last week bought jeans with a 34" waist size. 10 " less than what I wore 2 years ago. I feel so much better im not going back to the old eay of eating.22:35

Hi Pete, I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time. I was researching and studying about the carnivore diet when your video showed up about your carnivore journey. You are the only one that I have found that is sticking with biblically clean meats. I so appreciate that. I am a small frame, 108 pound going on 80 years young grandma. My exhaustion has kept me from doing projects and taking care of my yard the way I would like to. I eat much more meats and giving up my vegetables but I have a hard time giving up my homemade sourdough bread. I’ve been milling my own flour, and this time I’ve decided to sift all the brand out. Six years vegan, developed fatty liver, acid reflux and osteopenia. I just bought a grill yesterday and excited about my new journey. I have an instapot and it’s great for tough meat. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to your future videos. My husband is not very happy about my change to carnivore. He said his trainer is a nutritionist and he didn’t recommend carnivore. Nutritionist are educated through the same system the medical community is. People are sick and tired of being sick and tired and noticed by eliminating all this plant food their health returns, that's all the evidence I need. I think that nutritionist needs to re-educate him or herself in the latest findings about plants and how indigestible and malnourishing they are.

I, too, am running ducks in the former garden and plan to expand on the animals. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from one former veg gardener to another. Check out Dr Anthony Chaffee's channel. With respect to fruit and vegetables, you can have a little bit of it if it doesn't hurt your health. But if you do make sure it is seasonal and picked ripe. When we pick fruit ripe it has less anti-nutrients in it. Make sure it's grown organically and that it is a fruit or vegetable that hasn't been bred for excess fructose. For example if you like blueberries you can have some seasonal wild blueberries. That's what our ancestors did, when they came across some seasonal ripe fruit, they ate it. They didn't eat fruit everyday, they didn't eat fruit that was picked green and shipped across the globe, they didn't put five or six pieces of fruit into a smoothie. But they ate a little bit of fruit when they found it. They had some vegetables when they found them. A little bit, seasonal, organic, not bred for excess sweetness, that's what they ate. Primarily meat with a small amount of plant food when they happened upon it. I'm also doing carnivore. I still have coffee once a day, coffee of course isn't carnivore, it's a plant. But I haven't gotten rid of the one coffee a day yet. With respect to food, I can go a couple of weeks without eating any plant food but if I see some wild organic blueberries at the store, I'll probably get them. I'll enjoy them and that will be that. I'm not at the point of 100% carnivore yet. I'm not convinced that we have to be 100% carnivore. For people who need to heal from various conditions, doing the lion diet, meat, water and salt only is the best way to heal and eliminate everything that could potentially do harm. The standard American diet has done so much harm to our overall health that most people would benefit from a few months on a strict carnivore diet. For many of those people though, once healthier they would be able to reincorporate a small amount of plant foods if they wanted to. It's not required, it's not necessary but it's an option. Are you doing pure carnivore? Do you eat dairy, eggs, chicken or fish? I find that I don't want fish or chicken as much anymore I primarily want to eat beef. Everyone talks about how much they love ribeye steaks but I just don't like them. They're too fatty! I know we need to get a good amount of fat but I don't enjoy ribeye!

There are a lot of vegetables you can grow with low oxalates. Usually less than 10 per half cup on things like broccoli and Kale. I dont think I can go full carnivore. Im also going to spice things. Im Keto right now only for a couple of weeks but a little cabbage or broccoli can break the monotony. If only once or twice a week. Pete grew some beautiful broccoli last year. Im thinking after 7 or 8 months of pure carnivore it will be OK to be 99% carnivore next spring. Im changing my garden next spring to low oxalates because I know I will be eating some green vegetables that dont effect the Keto(low carb)

I have been thinking of raising meat rabbits again. I'm looking at the TAMUK rabbits for the Texas heat. Home raised rabbits have a better bone to muscle ratio and more fat than the super lean wild jack rabbits.They can also produce a lot of kits. Their manure is great for the garden. Rabbit manure can be sold to bring in extra funds and also the rabbits. I always have extra beef and pork fat I can use in cooking the rabbit if needed.

Another important cooking method for low carb is suis vide. I do briskets in a suis vide machine that I made out of a large ice chest for forty eight hours and then smoke them for four hours. Suis vide gives a better texture than pressure cooking and cooks more evenly. I have lost one hundred fifty five lbs in the last two years, with about thirty to forty lbs left to go and I just turned seventy four, carnivore gave me my life back. This is what has been cured, diabetes, stage three kidney disease, serious cardiac problems, IBS, psoriasis, arthritis in my hands, severe joint pain, even the floaters in my eyes are gone.

I get a lot of joy from watching things grow! I feel so much better after one day on carnivore. Been 4 days on carnivore and I slipped up yesterday evening, thinking a tiny bit of broccoli dipped in butter and small ear of corn. Just doesn't work. Then, I want every forbidden sweet. Trying to fly straight today. Luckily I found good ribeye steaks on sale, 9.99 each at local grocery store, 8 ounce. Quick sear on each side, very quick, so doesn't overcook. Really tender and good. They have 12 oz, thicker cuts for 14.99. I buy farm eggs. I prefer dark meat chicken. I'm really loving meat case bulk thick sliced Applewood bacon, baked in the oven till tender not overdone. Good luck. I'm diabetic, so have quite a carb addiction, but it is amazing how fast you lose your taste and cravings for carbs. Carnivore cures that. My mistake was picking up farmstead sweet corn for my grandson late in the afternoon when getting hungry.

Seven days later the inflammation in my hip and lower back are gone. Down 9lbs. My wife is experiencing the same. Interestingly enough, just prior to starting I had a full blood panel done, although I haven’t seen the results yet. I’m anxious to do another blood panel in 60 days and do a comparison. I am a new subscriber and a carnivore. There are no real butchers here. I live in Thailand. Most beef is imported from Australia, as is butter. Lamb is extremely expensive. Chickens are cheap. I usually cook something with minced beef. I also often make keto bread in the small oven. I eat 25 eggs a week. The only thing we have here is heavy cream with sugar. Recently there has also been sugar/vanilla in Greek yoghurt. I always have beef fat and pork belly in stock. Before going to bed I eat about 70g of butter - the best sleeping aid. I also often use my ceramic slow cooker. Any meat becomes soft in 2 hours. but I allow myself 2 days a month where I eat e.g. black spaghetti with butter and salmon

If you have chickens you can grow those mammoth sunflowers for them to peck at. If you and your spouse like to spin/weave you can grow flowers to create your own flower dyes or to feed the humming birds and bees. I wish you good fortune and hope to find a way to continue gardening if that is what you love.
