Please put her make up desk back in your office by the door. The guestroom is no place for her to get ready when your family is down especially since you arev having them down so often. Not fair to them or Casey. Very awkward for her and them if she will be in their private space when they will be down so often. Plus the chest of drawers looks out of place in the corner and your family should have a TV in the toom. Please rethink this.

I’m going to jump on the make up desk bandwagon 😂 - I think it needs to be somewhere besides the guest bedroom. What’s wrong with y’all’s bedroom? It will just be awkward when you have guests - and you’re all trying to get ready to go somewhere… And Casey has to come into the guest room to do her makeup. 😢 It’s just awkward. And you will be having more guests. Your parents and Alexa more frequently. I think you need to make room for it in the upstairs office or in the master bedroom. And I still think a blow up mattress is a good investment for when you have multiple guests. You can set that up in the upstairs office. And we are you going to show us the patio area? Or the front of the house? Do you have room for a swing? I love bed swings. Do you have room for a tv outside?

JoJo has 1.5 MILLION subscribers, and yet his normal daily videos (meaning not a cruise or specialty video) don't usually hit even just 20,000 views. that's less than 1.5% of his subscribers watch him on a regular basis. Whereas Kyle's non specialty videos (for lack of a better word coming to mind) usually average about 35,000 views, which means with his just under 300,000 subscribers, almost 12% of them watch him on a regular basis. Both of their view totals take a jump up when they have specialty videos, and again, Kyle's viewership is usually higher. The 1.5% viewers vs 12% is quite a big jump. And since more views means more ads are watched, and that means more money... Yeah, Kyles doing ok if you're going to compare. JoJo's subscribers took off when he started his shorts and TikTok's about pulling the sword from the stone. It's a shame his views don't compare to his subscriber numbers. He's a nice kid. As for Kyle.. if he offends you, why are you here watching? You're only helping him make money by watching his videos.

I understand wanting to het a maintenance man, but me being a single mom actually feel more accomplished having learned to fix things myself. I have changed faucets, fixed the washing machine, cleaned installed a dishwasher and fixed front yard sprinklers. I never thought I would be able to do it. ❤

For the desk that was damaged from the tape you could light sand the drawer or whole desk and paint with chalk paint. Also, the TV in the guest room on the dresser is out of proportion which is why it looks funny. I follow an interior designer on KZbin and she talks about the right proportion of furniture under a TV. The furniture underneath must be wider by so many inches than the TV or it just looks off. I also agree with others re: make up desk. It won’t be convenient to have it in a guest room if you have guests often. Not sure why it can’t be in the bedroom however it is your house so ultimately you decide where it goes and what works for both of you.

There's an old saying that Rome wasn't built in a day. Moving and unpacking is stressful and is overwhelming seeing all the boxes, but it will get done one room at a time. I have to agree with the comments below about the make-up table. It really should go in the bedroom and not the guest room. Your kitchen table is beautiful. Love it. Great job picking it out. Don’t put a carpet under the dining room table! You don’t eat over a carpet. You are going to have spills and crumbs and it’s much easier to clean off of bare floors. When have you ever seen a carpet in a kitchen?

Since Casey said no to the gaming room being in the extra room by the living, that could be her make-up area, her things, and her computer in there. They (she) can easily put up a long rod between the room opening and either find beautiful long curtains or material and use the hangers they have at IKEA to hang them (they have little snaps for the material and a ring to go though the rod). This would be cool, her own private place. Casey, it sounds like living together is new for you both, so now is the time to stake your claim. It's obvious that Kyle is still a man child. He already picked his room for the office, now you pick a room or let him know he needs to share. He has talked about kids, guess how fast he will lose that office!! You can't start off by being a "guest" at his place. He has said quite a few times that "he" has a new house. I remember when "he" signed the contract for the house, your name is not on it and you live in state that is not community property!!! Be careful how much you invest in a home that is not yours. Are you paying him rent towards his mortgage? You already look tired. Sounds like you're going to do most of the cleaning, cooking etc. Again, since you work full time now is when your expectations should come in to play. Since he's home and needs to spend less time going to DW and walking around (I know it's his thing for KZbin. He should be able to clean the house on certain days, help with the laundry, folding, cooking. You also need to start buying food for more than just one meal. If he doesn't want to help clean, hire a service to do it. Your place is small and they will make YOUR life so much easier and it's not that much. You can select what you want and they will charge accordingly. It will be a godsend for you. Last issue: I kept reading about Kyle's family visiting, no talk about your family visiting?? What if they want to visit and Kyle's family is there, do they get kicked to the curb? I don't know if you have been married before, but taking vows is serious. It means a lot of compromise. I was married and left my first husband (I didn't want to marry him, but he said I was obligated to). He did some mean things to me so I left. I have been married to my real husband almost 40 years. Sure we all have ups and downs, but all of the houses and properties we purchased they were always signed by the both of us. Casey, when I saw your young face sitting on the steps so tried you looked unhappy, like what the hell did I get myself into. Wait about a year to get married, there is no rush. This is the time when you see if you can take the man child. It's already starting when he expects someone else, his dad, the maintenance guy to put up the pictures and you reminded him that you can do that yourselves. Young lady, keep your eyes and hears open and running shoes. Oh, DON'T QUIT YOUR JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

Relationships are give and take - if he wants to take this next step with her, and it seems like he does, he needs to compromise as well and make the space feel comfortable for her too. It doesn't matter whose name the house is listed under if they have made the decision to move in together, it's THEIR living space at this point in time. If he isn't willing to share his space and make room for her, like perhaps downsizing his desk, then he isn't ready to move in with a partner. It's really simple if you care to be an equal partner.

Congratulations! I wouldn’t bother with a TV in the guest room. And everyone needs to chill on the judgy stuff. Enjoy this time of your life! I love the round dining table, and a nice rug under there is totally fine. We have both a round table and a rug and it’s no big deal to vacuum. Just something to keep in mind after WFH/gaming/home schooling during Covid, please use headphones to game or give Casey your game room to have quiet to work. These open floor plans are wonderful - until everyone has a device going and you need to focus on something.

Articulating tv mount for the 2nd bedroom/ guest room. Flip the end table and the standing light. It will allow the closet door to open. Dinning room table is perfect. I would recommend putting in pot lights in the dining room. Congratulations on moving in together.

You can definitely for the TV issue buy a central stand for it where it connects to the mounting section on the back of the TV. Therefore you can put it on a diagonal and it’ll still look fine

There is nothing to fix that makeup desk but cover the drawer front with contact paper. Next time, don’t use packing tape on furniture.(painters or masking would be better and ripping it from the bottom was not a good idea either.) I don’t mean to make Casey feel bad about it, I guess chalk it up to life lessons. I also think Casey’s desk should go in the room she sleeps in. I can’t wait to see how Casey decorates the house!

Great video! Happy to see you two together. A word of caution about the dining room table. We bought the same brand. The finish is easily ruined by placing hot things on it, like a hot pizza box will ruin the surface. Also, we bought ladderback style chairs and they all broke one by one through the years. They just weren't very durable.

Kyle: Review Pier1 online , use to be Pier 1 imports. In 2020, an e-commerce purchased the big retailer. My mom purchased bar stools. Better quality than big box retailers or home goods or home goods. You need basic lawn-garden equipment, water hose, large trash barrels (unless your town provides). Review your home and safety inspection to see needs. Lastly, do you want to keep carpet upstairs? Or is there wood underneath. You could have it all ripped up.

Me and my hubby made lots of plans just sitting around in each room and getting the feel of things. And slowly it became our perfect little “ love nest”. It gradually takes the shape of your personalities. I couldn’t wait to come home every night after work. Good luck you two. The Canadian table looks like it definitely belongs right there. The table is beautiful! I agree with the small desk downstairs. You need a work and game room. I love the his, hers, ours rooms, but if your parents are coming often the get ready may be weird, but remember that is only temp situation. Make your house functional for you two when no one else is around! So happy for you two!!

Kyle - you don’t need a “maintenance man” or handy man. The stuff you’re going to do is basic. We only hired someone to install our fans and chandeliers because my husband didn’t know how to install it with the electrical …but everything else is pretty basic. You can literally KZbin any home repair or install. That’s what we do and it’s worked out great. My husband is not handy at all…there is a lot his Dad never taught him, so he had to learn himself or ask his brother. You can do it! 💪🏻 You got this!

Congratulations! We have a no outdoor shoes policy in our home and keep an inside pair of sneakers in our mudroom. We swap shoes coming and going. More supportive than walking around in just socks but definitely keeps the germs out.

Oof sorry to add another suggestion Kyle, I’m sure that’s annoying…. but the only thing I will say is to rethink where her makeup table goes. As someone who has one, it would be best in your bedroom IMO. And maybe your office/gaming in the downstairs room. You’ll wear headphones so it won’t even interfere with the TV room.
